Dares is not going away in Feb.
If you did only one DoE per day since launch with no multiplier it would’ve taken about 70 or 80 days (forgot the actual number of points needed). You would’ve finished before Witch Queen and not felt burned out.
People grind their butts off to try and get something ASAP, then complain it’s a terrible event or boring because they tried to do it all right away.

Gee, it's almost as if Bungie makes their game design and reward system cater to that style of play...there's bonus rep for staying in a single activity over and over. Yea, the players have a choice on where they spend their time, but this is just game design incentivising it.

Correct. They reward playing multiple matches at a time, but you don’t HAVE to and can still complete the objective before Witch Queen. People complain about time-gating, but consume content that supposed to last three months in less than a week, then talk about how “dry” or “boring” a season is. I’m not aiming this at you specifically, but this has become a common theme when Bungie went to a season model.

People will always go for things fast. It is human nature. It doesn't help that Bungie has a track record of nerfing new exotics when they are good at all. Many of us feel if you don't get the exotics quickly, you'll never actually get to experience it because it will just be a shell of its former self. I just don't agree with you that this is on the players at all. Even your last post you mentioned how this has happened more since the seasonal release style. This seasonal release was Bungie's decision and by having artifacts that require lots of grinding within a season to do high level content and content being removed after the seasons, it just further promotes rushing.

I guess “rushing” also depends on how much time you have to dedicate to this game. I don’t need to rush, because I get the opportunity to play almost every day. Not everyone can say the same thing.

This is true. I just wish they'd make some changes to adjust their promoting of it. For example, don't reset reputation ranks at the end of a season, give a higher reputation gain per activity but with no increasing values for staying in a playlist, don't increase the grandmaster/master raid levels every season, remove the seasonal boost requirement to cut out 1/4 of the time grinding new seasonal exotic catalysts, etc.
