It's actually Osiris the real Osiris.. he is going to come back with Cayde 6 and they are going to show up at the final hour when all seems darkest. They will show up on the 3rd day ,look to the rising sun
<I equate them to Ghosts, an entity or group of entities split off from the main body (Gardener for Ghosts, Winnower in this case). They speak using "we", which is similar to how Ghosts remembered their time as part of the Traveler's body. However, the Winnower is a singular, using "I". This is how you're able to determine how many times the Winnower has actually contacted us... once and only via text.
The Glykon Volatus's scans of the Martian Anomaly show that the Pyramid that took it is still there, and... *sigh*... and SAVATHUN calls it a part of the Darkness, one piece of a larger web, linking it to multiple other points on not only the other veiled worlds but also outside the system. This is probably an extremely apt description given the Pyramid Armada's collective consciousness.
So, they are paracausal entities, alive unto themselves, but are not the Traveler's equivalent and never have been. The Entity is the Traveler's opposite. The Entity is the Winnower. The Pyramids are its children, doing her bidding as they apparently beholden to her will, lacking the freedom the Gardener's children have.
They are also ships holding something inside and there are a number of hints for that but apparently something can either only be alive or only be a ship and there's no such thing as something that has multiple purposes. I guess we humans can only be alive or carriers for bacteria.>
Paracasual in Nature....Beings to carry out the Will of the Winnower.
They have the ability to TeraForm, and Speak on behalf of the Winnower or the Voice in the Dark.
They can bestow the power of the Dark as " the Deep is bountiful, while the Sky is limited" -Nokris, Son of Oryx.
They're enemies we'll struggle with in the first half an hour we see them before getting some new abilities. Then they'll be just another enemy type like taken and splicers. In D3 they'll be as common as the foes we fight now and will be trumped by yet another enemy type that comes slong.
