you obviously never went after Redrix, or RTK, or Luna's, Recluse, NF, Revoker, Outbreak Perfected, Whisper. You think hours is too much? Try weeks. Bungie has made it very generous for casual players to get weapons and catalysts. You would not have survived Forsaken or before

DoE Catalyst is boring & repetitive, you can do it by wrote, or afk. Redrix was brutal but fun & challenging, as were all the pvp weapons 😉

  • All those were challenging an offered reward quickly for high skill players. Also playing crucible is actually engaging. This is long for the sake of being long. Not challenging. There is a substantial difference. Also reward wise, those were incredible rewards, this is a 13 - 20 hr grind for a garbage catalyst.

Redrix, not forgotten, recluse, revoker, mountain top were all fun. Outbreak/whisper the missions were fun as well. Weeks for guns at 2100 in comp? It took me less then a day to get those guns 🤣

  • Those were all insanely easy and barely time consuming barring the Claymore. Even the broadsword wasn’t that bad.

  • I definitely didn’t get the claymore. I got the broadsword. And I might dust off the nf for some qp. I forgot all about that gun.

  • Nah, the true catalyst grind was the three faction ones. Get to rank 50 in all 3 of the faction rallies that season or they just weren't available for another year.

  • Woooooow I totally forgot about those. I remember grinding all 3 characters for all 3 catalysts. It drove me nuts... xD

  • You mean literally every PvE player who couldn’t land a single shot, you could do Mountainstops whole quest in QP and then hit fabled. You could even stack them up and hit fabled once and get them all. Comparing complaints by people who just complained for the sake of it to actual fair ones like SBMM which directly affects their experience in the mode is unfair

  • No im just being real and most players struggled reaching fabled back then. Not only casuals or those wanting sbmm lol. If you dont remember that reaching 2100 back then was pretty tough for most of the community thats on you. Its not because you were able to do it easily that it was easy. (Btw i reached fabled and got all the pinnacles weapons from pvp as fast as possible but its not because i was able to that it was easy and quick)

  • The hardest time was during redrix, during season 4 it was significantly easier then season 3

  • redrix has never been hard, it was LONG and very very time consuming comp became easier when they started modifying glory points and streaks, (basically when recluse released, it became way faster to reach 2100, only a few games in a row if you werent losing at all) but before that.....plus having to face teams using luna at its strongest state, was a different story for most players X)

  • btw when im talking about redrix im not talking about the season 3 redrixx as it was way way too much, (remember almost nobody got this weapon back then) But im talking about the broadsword quest that was a long and time consumming quests asking you to do tons of pvp matches, and kills (wich was fine by me)

  • Well just so you know when anyone mentions redrix they usually mean the one from season 3. When people talk about the claymore people call it the claymore. Im sure you can see the confusion

Hit 2100, go kill people... It wasn't that bad lol NF was pretty rough the first season to hit 5500 couldn't tell you how many times I dropped from 5200 to 1800 and went back up to the 5000's. The next season when they changed the match making/way points worked inside of comp it became a cake walk.

  • Most players couldnt reach 2100 that easily until they made it easier. During forsaken reaching 2100 wasnt a walk in the park. Hence why recoveries started florishing at this exact period of time

  • 🤷‍♂️ 2100 wasn't bad I could hit that in a few hours. It wasn't until 3500 that it became rough because the point system would change. It would take 3 wins in a row to make up for 1 loss. If you won two games in a row and lost 1 repeatedly you'd go backwards in points quickly. Never really understood that seeing your teams win rate was positive.

  • Lol the OG mountaintop quest was pretty brutal. The rebalanced one, not so much.
