  • Do you play other games? Did you encounter any issues in other games? I play a lot every day, a lot of different games and it looks like destiny is the only one game that crashes. Graphics cards can’t be broken only for specific games…

  • It crashes during uni engine heaven benchmark about 30 seconds in on a different pc. In this case it's defiantly the gpu. I've ordered new thermal pads so hopefully this was the issue as its cheaper than getting a new gpu

  • Wait, so you are telling me that if you run heaven benchmark on your first pc it won’t crash?

  • I have a spare 980ti I've put that in my 1st pc and no crashes in destiny. I was just checking if changing the gpu fixed the issue. I then put the gpu in my second pc as it was 3am lol. I began testing the gpu in my 2nd pc and it crashes when the gpu is under high load which is 1440p uniengine benchmark. I believe the ram chips are over heating causing a crash as I changed the thermal pads 4 months ago. I will report back when I change the pads if the card is fixed. This ofc prob won't be your issue but I Don't believe it's a software issue.

I just run a haven benchmark with no issues. What looks weird to me, is the fact that you pulled your 1080 Ti from your main pc and place it to 2nd pc before testing it in heaven benchmark. I would try it on both PCs before actually declaring there's a thermal issue or GPU's death sentence. For example, is everything ok with drivers on your second PC? Are you absolutely sure you have no overclocking settings for the GPU on a specific computer that won't get saved into the BIOS of the graphics card? Your assumption might be correct though, because there's no temp indicator on MSI Afterburner for VRAM, only for the GPU. If temps are high, you might not be able to see it.

  • I tried to Eliminate software errors by doing a fresh install of Windows on pc1 / pc 2 also had a fresh install as well. The reason I didn't run heaven on pc1 is I have a small form factor pc so it's kinda of a nightmare to keep swapping parts I'll report back to you with my results I get the new pads on Wednesday
