What is it with people wanting items and abilities created for Hunters for other classes. Each class is intended to be different in look and play style. Hunters were given dodge. Warlocks were given their wards and Titans that barrier. If you give something the Hunters can do to other classes you need to replace that item or ability to maintain class balance and variation. If you want dodge or cloaks then play as a Hunter.

No. And I don't need a lecture from you on why you think a dodge should be class-bound. Dodging is not a unique ability invented especially for the hunter, but a well-known ability that is part of the standard movement of many video games (Dark Souls, Eso, etc.). Arguing with "look and play style" now is silly and only points to the fact that someone is apparently afraid of being outplayed by other classes.

  • As I said each class is designed to be different so by giving the other classes a Hunter ability what should replace it. Are Titans and Warlocks going to give up their class only abilities as well to even things out.

  • That's what it's all about. The Dodge should not be a Hunter-exclusive Ability, because it is something of a cult asset in video games. So all classes would be entitled to it. Other Abilities could be exchanged for it - it would just be an alternative option.

  • That is going into more of a RPG or a game with one class which you personalised to you. To do so in D2 would mean the abilities would need to be removed and replaced with a slot to be equipped from a option menu that the game does not have and even would have pushed D1's character system.

  • Wells and barricades shouldn't be class bound based on your argument. So I'm guessing Icarus dash and shoulder charge shouldn't be either? Blinking Titans and Hunters should be a thing as well?
The correct answer is "no".
•
So I'm guessing Icarus dash and shoulder charge shouldn't be either?
These are both sub-class Abilities and do not count as a counter-argument. Of course, one could then no lo-blam!- use these abilities or only use them in a weaker variant if one wants to dodge. That would be the task of the developer to set penalties or something similar here.
