• Same here.. its been a few back that this has started though.. a couple of weeks back i would get the gray banner saying connecting to destiny.. changing weapons usually triggers this banne as well.. then when running GM's or Raids.. it will kick me straight to Orbit saying that an error ocurred related to the BABOON..

    • I feel your pain and wish I had a fix for you. I have been getting baboon constantly as well and nothing works. This is the only game I know of that does this type of disconnect for minor packet loss. When I do a raid and use in game chat, everyone can still hear me as I get the black screen like nothing is happening. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't take all your energy and power ammo or kick you out of non joinable activities like GM or master lost sectors. Just lazy game devs that can't figure out network issues.

    • Hi, Error codes are used as a way to help identify issues, they are not the cause. Baboon indicates your connection is having issues, usually packet loss or intermittent disconnections between the device you play Destiny on and Bungie's servers. Different from error code Chicken, that points to issues in your home network, Baboon is associated with issues happening after Destiny packets are already in your Internet Service Provider route to Bungie's servers. Unfortunately Bungie can only help you diagnose, the fix can only be implemented by you or someone from your provider. You can try Cloudflare's service WARP or a VPN to try directing the traffic through another route if you're on PC, using a mobile connection from your phone tethered to your device or another Internet Provider, this will help you point out the issue to your current provider.
