My favorite strike is no lo-blam!- in d2 right now, aka, Strange terrain. It was a very simple strike, but a right length in my opinion, not too short, nor long like corrupted or that Shadowkeep strike. It also was my most played nightfall, namely for the Braytech Osprey nightfall exclusive weapon, which sadly was sunset come Beyond light. It was when I got Braytech that I got my Wayfarer seal, and after so many runs of the nightfall in just 4 seasons, I was happy to have acquired it and finish my 1st ever seal. As for the mechanics, they were simple too.
For those who are new
Strange terrain was a mission in the Warmind DLC turned into a strike, the plot was to go deep into mars hive tunnels and kill Nokris, the 2nd son of Oryx, the brother of Crota. Warmind DLC wasn't the first place we heard of Nokris in game, in The Taken King annual expansion in Destiny 1 in the Regicide mission you can scan a structure that ghost says belongs to someone named Nokris.
Nokris was the disowned son of the sword logic, for Nokris used necromancy which is forbidden by the hive sword logic. In the Warmind DLC, Nokris had formed an alliance with the weakest worm god named Xol, Will of the Thousands, who was also killed in a story mission turned into a strike and into the exotic sniper rifle Whisper of Worms in the exotic mission on the former planet IO.
So yes, to summarize it, Ana Bray (also seen in Beyond Light) and Zavala have you go into the depths of Mars and find Nokris and kill him.
Though we believed we killed Nokris but with him being a Necromancer, we also doubted it, Nokris returned in Season of Arrivals and aided Savathun in interfering with the darkness who got tired of the annoyance and went to Europe instead and thus Beyond Light.
The strike also had 3 cool looking nightfall emblems, one of which I still have in my emblems to put on.
My least favorite strike however, is the not just 1, but 3, and it's the 3 that majority of the community hates.
Worst to least worst
Corrupted (Too long, and just a pain)
Exodus crash (A bit long, and dumb boss mechanic)
Shadowkeep strike (A bit long, annoying elevator bit, but easy boss)
And that is all.

Favourites are archon, summoning, nexus as I seem to like torture (remembering nightfalls)..but I guess mainly nostalgia. Least probably corrupted and scarlett keep for length...makes you feel like you need to speed run to get through.. would rather closer encounters....

Shield Brothers, Exodus Crash
-
I hate exodus crash with a passion and dreading having to do it to gild. I like proving ground and arms dealer I like raiding cabel outposts. My title in d1 was bane of the cabal because I killed so many on mars though I thought I would for certain get fallen since they are my favorite race. Kinda stupid I can't be a fallen.
-
My absolute favorite would have to be Savathûn’s Song. I loved having a Shrieker as a boss and I loved the dialogue and story. Honorable mentions in no particular order: Proving Grounds, Scarlet Keep, Sunless Cell, Warden of Nothing.
The boss fight from Sunless Cell needs to be in the Witch Queen campaign.
I guess least favorite would be Exodus Crash. Just kinda boring.
-
1 ReplyMy favorite is Devils Lair. I love that strike. My least favorite, the one I hate from the bottom of my cold black heart is the Corrupted.
-
My favorite strike in D2 is The Inverted Spire because I have a bunch of nostalgia for it from the open beta. Worst for me would probably be Exodus Crash because the boss fight is really, really annoying in Nightfalls.
-
I personally love Scarlett Keep. I think the enemy density is there and you're constantly moving and not just holding down plates and waiting for ghost to open doors. It's also so aesthetically pleasing. Such an awesome experience. Least favorite is Exodus Crash. I find the mechanics (including the hold down the plate section that takes far too long) to be tedious and the boss is pretty annoying.
-
All Time Favorites: Archon Priest, Shield Bros, & Taniks Least favorite: Corrupted & Scarlett Keep
-
Favorite strikes, Devil's lair or Warden of nothing. Most disliked strike, Exodus crash. I can't stand that strike, it's too artificially long, bad boss fight, plus Bungie removed the strike to rework it, Bungie did nothing to improve it. When Exodus crash comes up, I go to orbit, I will not do that strike and I stay away from the nightfall (next week) if I can.
-
My favorite strike is corrupted, least favorite is devil's layer.
-
Inverted Spire is my fave because it is one of the most aesthetically pleasing as you fight across the various scenery and a changing boss fight. It was good during the beta and it still is to this day. Least favorite by far is The Corrupted because it just plain sucks.
-
Guardian, Archon Of LightArchon Priest Of House Light - old
Favorite:Devil's Lair, the perfectly structured strike, with a wealth of targets Least Favorite:All Cabal strikes, low enemy count ,and Cabal are just generally boring to fight against -
1 ReplyMy fav over all of Destiny was the Sunless Cell followed by The Summoning Pit after a really stressful day of teaching undergrads. Nothing like killing Phogoth by a punch to the eye to make one feel better! For D2 only I really liked both the Pyramidion and Savathuns Song. Least favorite, sometimes the Shield Bro's pending the team I dropped in with (other times I loved it!) but the two I still cringe at even though there no lo-blam!- is a reason too, compared when they first came out, are Corrupted and Exodus. Man when Exodus first came out if I got it I immediately let it just like everyone else. But the one that pisses me off the most is Hollowed Lair because half the kills you get count for NOTHING. Yes its fun and fast but seriously what a waste when it comes to bounties or quest/catalyst kill steps!
-
Ant remember the name but in d1 there was an ogre who had its eye ripped out and an archon who put it on a gun was nuts when it was nightfall arc burn
-
Favorite: Pyramidion or Warden Of Nothing Least favorite: Exodus Crash (mainly the boss fight)
-
I loved Valus Truarc back in D1. Most of the strikes I enjoyed were vaulted in D2. I actually enjoyed the paramydemia strike and those like that.
-
What is your favorite strike: None least favorite strike: All of them
-
If I'm excluding vaulted strikes, my favorite is probably Warden of Nothing while my least favorite is tied between The Corrupted and Hallowed Lair. If I include vaulted ones, then it'd be A Garden World or The Pyramidion as favorite while my least favorite would be Savathun's Song.
-
I've done them so much I don't care if I ever see them again and the pointless loot.
-
Favorite: Lake of Shadows. Not because of its length, but the "Operation: Babydog" dialogue. Least favorite: Proving Grounds. Just the boss fight on GM. It was fun when scouts were anti-barrier, but choosing between anti-barrier auto, Eriana's Vow, or Arbalest is not fun. Least favorite actual strike: Hollowed Lair. I can deal with long strikes, but this one doesn't count the final room for bounties, catalysts, or other things that need kills. The boss's pull into a stomp is also BS. PICK ONE OR THE OTHER FIKRUL.
-
Favorite? Arms Dealer. Least favorite? Corrupted.

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 1/7/2022 5:42:24 PMThere were/are many bad ones But Exodus Crash, for it’s longevity & being truly broken in Y1 Nightfalls (to the point of being removed from circulation 3-4 times) Definitely the worst in D2 history (closely followed by Corrupted) As for the best I liked Festering Core (RIP) - only lasted a year Pyramidion, Arms Dealer, Savathun’s Song All good solid strikes
-
1 ReplyFav…. What ever the shortest is All very boring tbh
-
1 Replymy fav Strike: none i Fking hated the Corrupted strike, that strike is a definition of dogshit design imo. I hope that sh!t show go to DCV someday.
-
Favorite strike is a tie between arms dealer and tree of probabilities Least favorite is hands down corrupted
