My partner is New Light for example. Got them some DLC for Xmas. I wanted to help introduce them to the game at their own pace but it was greatly unhelpful when they were immediately shoved into the Beyond Light campaign mission once they reached a certain level after the New Light missions. It pulled me directly into Dares of Eternity when the Anniversary event launched, and I wasn't prepared for that nor did I want to do that yet. It forces you to play the opening missions of Forsaken and Shadowkeep if you want to even set foot on the Tangled Shore and Moon. Please let players approach these things at their own pace without ripping them from whatever plans they might have initially had.
