RNG for Nightfall is crap
I have done more then 7-8 Nightfalls on multiple different difficulties and still haven't got the palindrome or the swarm. I have watched as the people I play with get both weapons and I still have nothing. I get mats and glimmer but no weapons. I have done master and have attempted GM's but its not worth the grind. It won't drop and its starting to really anger me. RNG doesn't exist in destiny because there is a possibility of a zero as the number, making no mathematical probability of a compounding chance. Its not luck its a coding error and its BS. its not really fair to make a "oh your just unlucky" statement. This game is worth something to me and to be at a disadvantage in both comp and pve by not having a weapon like the swarm or palindrome is unfair and a waste of my time.

It’s really just rng. I did 6 hero earlier today and lucked out getting 2 palindrome and 1 legend getting another one there as well. In the past I have run 15-20 hero and never got whatever the weapon was that week. As others have said the higher the difficulty the better the % of a drop to get one of the two weapons

It sucks that you have not gotten them to drop yet. I hope you do soon. That being said, neither of them are best in slot, so I really don’t see you as disadvantaged for not having them. Good luck with the grind.

i didn't get a single Palindrome drop, always The Swarm, i've played master NF and 2 GM always The Swarm drop.

[b]Legend[/b] has like a 30% drop rate between 2 weapons [b]Master[/b] had like a 70% drop rate between 2 weapons. [b]GrandMaster[/b](GMs) are 100% between 2 weapons. And yes it’s a grind. GMs are worth trying, at least you get the MW materials. And probably get the adept version of the gun you wanted. RNG sucks. And they keep pushing in that direction, adding more rng elements on top of rng. When they put two guns as the GM reward, the grind time increased drastically. For example, you want a pali, but the game gives you swarm 9 times out of 10. Cuz "its just a rng dude!" How do you feel after 10 gm runs and only 1 pali? Rewarded? And there is a huge probability that you shard it immediately after looking at the perks and mw. The rewards system needs to be changed.

I agree man. I did 6 GM and got 5 Swarms. They know everyone is trying to get a Palidrome. This shouldn't even be possible.

1 ReplyI done like 6-7 GMs only Swarm drops no Palindrome in sight. I guess the hand cannon is a bait for people to play this game. I wonder what the pvp players would say if in the flawless chest reward would be RNG.

You have The Swarm adept in your collections? You must have had at least one drop.

Nightfalls on lower levels don’t drop much, sadly. I kinda gave up on everything below GM because I was sick of not getting weapons after multiple runs. I remember last season I did 22 Legend Fallen S.A.B.E.R before a weapon dropped, that was the moment.

Do GM, it's a 100% drop rate for either Pali or Swarm and it's also Adept. This is the easiest nightfall in the game and even with a less than average team, you should be able to get completions within 30 minutes. Just watch a guide on how to get it done and assemble a team. If you are out there trying to farm the weapon in Hero/Legend, you are doing it wrong. If GM is really outside of your comfort zone, at least do Master.

Yeah, I ran 5 Master NFs and didn't get a single legendary weapon to drop at all. zero. Not that it really matters since the adepts are what you want, but just the fact that I didn't get a single drop. I did get 2-3 exotic armor pieces, but unfortunately they all had "bad" stats so they were a waste too.

If you kill all champions... GM is 100% Master is 50% Legend is 30%.

This week is absolutely worth the grind IMO, but everyone is different. As easy as the strike can be its worth it just to grab the adept version and some golf balls. If you playing on anything lower that master your drop rates will be poop. You need to expect that.

I did 1 grand master and got swarm adept first try with a not bad roll
