St0mp-EE5 are one of the most used exotics in history, being meta since launch *Want proof? load into crucible, and inspect every hunter you come across, you are bound to find a pair of Stompees in one of every 3 hunters.); they provide better all-around movement and speed on every subclass that hunters have with no drawbacks or setup.
For comparison, The other mobility exotics are
- Frost-EE5, which require you to use a dodge charge to get a brief sprint speed-boost, as well as slowly grant ability energy while sprinting
- Mask of Bakris, for blinking, which gives you a bulky cooldown before your dodge can recharge, regardless of mobility, only for your stasis subclass
- Dunemarchers, which only grant faster sprint speed (while one of the most used exotics, it is most likely due to the shockwave that it presented)
- Antaeus wards, which just improve your slide, while granting a shield to use that reflect projectiles
- Astrocyte Verse, which buffs blink range, as well as weapon ready speed and radar
- Transversive Steps, which buffs Sprint speed, as well as reload your currently equiped weapon, which do not synergize with a couple builds (Hawkmoon, for example)
- Lion Rampant, which gives additional aerial maneuverability
None of these exotics grant a full buff to all forms of mobility except Stompees (except blinking, which hunters don't have), while also not having any drawbacks or requirements whatsoever (Frostees, for example); to put it bluntly, Stompees trivializes all of these exotic's Movement buffs, as well as some subclass specific buffs (Electrostatic Surge requires you to have a teammate, for example, and Cryoslide has a sprint-timer before activation)
You can't buff anything to compensate for stompees either, as mobility-heavy this game is, buffing any movement exotic in the game would give them preference over other exotics (see Stomp-ees and Frost-ees, for example).
It's been meta for 5 years in a row guys, figured you would've notice them by now.

2 Replieswarlock mains when they are the only class with a hard counter to all of the quickdraw/handling nerfs but hunters have a high jump

I don't know if we're just echo chambering like super hard right now, but for all the PvP I played this season(mostly some Trials and Banner here and there), I've only had like 3 or 4 situations where Stomps were augmenting a players movement to where I had a hard time keeping up. But these were also players who would dumpster my average -blam!- with (insert trash here) I think as far as PvP Hunters go, unless you're already well above my skill level, I can play against Stomps. Been learning the match up for actual years. I also think using Stomps forces Hunters to give some of their more obnoxious gimmicks, which will likely come to the front of complaints if Stomps are taken down a peg
