• No matter the range, there will always be a floor for damage, and you’re likely to hit it whether it has that extra 1.5 meters or not - I would pick stability so that you can land the shots more consistently and at further ranges due to better recoil.

I believe Range directly influences the actual spread, as in more range means the shots follow the recoil more exactly. Stability is flat recoil, so the bolts come outore tightly grouped with more Stability. Personally, I'd say go for pure Range if you're a masochist enough to be using a High Impact, both on the middle 2 archetypes, and heavier into Stability on the Rapid Fires. The only caveat is that the only time you should be sacrificing Range or Stability is on High Impact frames (Stability isn't super necessary due to the 5 bolts coming out), since both are pretty important stats with 7 or 9 projectiles. Perks can also change it, as things like Under Pressure, Tap the Trigger, or Firmly Planted can allow you to bias Range a lot more.

  • Generally stability. This was confirmed by Bungie themselves.

Range. Stability is a pointless stat now that the hitscan scaling is 9999% every single bolt will connect with near 100% accuracy regardless of perks thanks to Bungie. The only archetype that in my testing doesn't really benefit is the high impact frames which take to long to charge anyway. Use Null or any fast firing fusion and you'll see that because they made them perfect hitscans all the time then the faster firing fusion wins because every bolt will confirm for maximum damage. Thats why you see so many fusions and more specifically fast firing fusions.

    • Depends on which on you use. I've got a timelines vertex with firmly planted and elemental capacitor so I just dump the rest into range. Also, which adaptive frame because that does matter.

STABILITY 100%!!! 👍 They made range on fusions have diminishing returns and the difference between something like 50-80 range isn’t that much farther. Missing bolts is always the biggest problem with fusions because you have to hit all 5 for those long range kills and stability is HUGE at helping you control it. Unflinching mods also help out a ton. I play with fusions A LOT in PvP and have tested out loads of different rolls on EVERY non sunset fusion in the game and I can tell you, the best and most consistent ones in the game, regardless of archetype are the ones with high stability. Timelines vertex with elemental capacitor on void class for stability, main ingredient with under pressure/tap the trigger, etc.. Stability masterworks on everything. It’s not as important on high impacts as they only shoot 3 bolts now but you can still miss one or two bolts at max range if you have super low stability or get flinched. *Also, if it has poor recoil direction like timelines vertex does, slap on a counterbalance mod. I usually use icarus grip but the recoil direction is so poor on that one that it’s night and day difference with counterbalance on. 😎🍻

      • Stability is more ideal as it makes little sense to have high range but also high recoil which makes it hard to land more then 3 shots on someone more then 10 feet away

      • Stability and recoil direction. Counterbalance spec really helps with this.

Stability for rapid fire and adaptive frames. High impacts can use some range. But overall, stability is the pick.

          • Always stability, range doesnt matter, adaptive fusions can kill it close to 30 meters if all bolts hit

          •
Which one is more important for Adaptive fusion rifle performance?
Range doesn’t matter alot on Fusions. Stability tightens the spread on Fusions. So stability is the clear cut

          • Stability, range stat doesn’t do too much for the range anyways and landing more bolts consistently with stability is always going to be better.

            • I’ve heard people say stability due to bolt spread.
