Is anyone else experiencing game crashes in Dares of Eternity during the final Cabal Boss?

I have had it happen two maybe three times so far. It's annoying.

1 ReplyYes, several times one day 1. Every time it did, I was in the process of meleeing a hound. Once I started hanging back and shooting things, I stopped crashing. Idk.

It's happened a few times, but not just the dare. It happened during the new dungeon too.

Yes and it's annoying. There have been occasions where Xur's chosen has popped up and my game freezes. That triumph is a pain to complete.

I'm having this problem but it isn't exclusive to Dares it's general gameplay and it's really hindering my gameplay and making me not want to play at all. I don't even want to try to do any hard activities right now because I'm scared that suddenly the game will crash and my efforts will have been for nothing. It really sucks when you keep getting to the end of activities and then suddenly your game crashes. Even just sitting in a menu too long is a problem. Hopefully this gets fixed soon because it's driving me crazy.

I was wondering why in some instances when I pick to play dares of eternity I'm already at the end boss "cabal" one. Makes so much sense now. It has happened at least 5 times.

I have not had Dares crash. Only the dungeon once.

Edited by El Mebaj: 12/13/2021 3:31:21 AMThis -blam!- is just beyond ridiculous. I come back after like half a year for a free event, and it's constant freezes, disconnects, and crashes. Every time I come back to see what's up, the game gets progressively worse. It also doesn't help that the bounties reset every time, so -blam!- me for trying to play the game I guess. 4 times out of 5 the Cabal boss crashes within 30 seconds. It's gotten to the point where if the Cabal boss rolls, I just instantly quit. It gets boring really fast, wasting all this time, fighting bosses, just to quit midway because it's faster to back out and find another match, than to wait for the hard crash to finish and relaunch the game. The game also constantly shits itself, dropping frames left and right, dipping into the 10s and 5s, regardless of settings. Before I quit, I remember never having any trouble with crashes or performance. Even if the game was always a steaming pile of garbage, the client was at least stable.

this also happens with the Vex final boss and also during the lightning rounds.

Yes. I've had disconnects and hard crashes on Xbox one at the Bosses on Friday. One times it was the Hive, the last time (with a hard freeze and horrific 20+ seconds of noise before it crashed to the Desk Top), it was the Cabal. So I fight my way to the Bosses in 2 of the 3 runs and get nothing in return. I haven't played since and won't be until Bungle patches it. I'm having way more fun in Halo Infinite Campaign and after beating it on Normal and collecting all the Collectibles, scanables and Logs, I'm going back in on Legendary. Bye Bye Destiny..

Not that many but when it does happen, it happens during that encounter only. My last 10 runs of Dares, l haven't got the Cabal boss

Yes, I've also noticed that it happens most often when it is after the Vex for the second encounter. I also had it happen once during the final Crota encounter right after popping a super. My guess is that with so much happening during Dares, the game just crashes, similar to what happened during Solstice where games would crash because too many orbs would spawn. I suspect the Vex cranium is part of the issue given that it can also kill teammates, I've found that my game crashes more frequently when someone is killed from a cranium in a previous encounter (completely anecdotal).

Couple hours ago experienced a major hiccup during the Cabal boss fight. My connection somehow held on but all five other players got booted. Kept fighting through the encounter as new players filled the slots and beat the boss… And then it went into a Lightning Round. We cleared it. I completed my Triumph for Lightning Rounds and was inspecting some armor combinations with the new shader when the end round timer ticked down to zero and my game hard crashed. (΄◉◞౪◟◉｀)
