Contacting Destiny Servers Constant

Either Bungie is prepping their severs continually for the upcoming season, or you’re thinking about renaming the game to “Contacting Destiny Servers”? Not sure which, but it’s constant anytime day or night these days. Happens at least every 20 minutes or every time I fast travel to a new location. It’s been SO bad I even had a service tech come out and check my lines and connection speed just to make sure it’s not on my side. Typically I’ll get an error code BEE once I get dropped. But don’t matter… every error code you have points to your customers fault. Just wondering if you have it in the budget to ever fix YOUR servers? Cause I guarantee these ongoing drops are not all on your customers!

 • Your connection no matter what the "TECH" said isn't stable enough for Destiny 2. Just having rated downloads and uploads is not enough. What are the exact results of a wide variety of internet speed tests? You have provided none of these. Most of us know to test often and always check to make sure we are getting what we are paying for and is the service stable over a period of time. Are you wired or using the no no Wifi ? High ping and jitter are very important and if you don't know what they are then you cannot begin to understand how this is most likely a problem on your end. Just trying to help as always but I'll probaly get roasted as usual for trying to. Good luck Guardian. https://www.fusionconnect.com/speed-test-plus/ https://speed.cloudflare.com/
Error Code: BEE BEE, FLY, and LION error codes can be caused by general disconnections between you and the various routes your traffic takes across the internet to get to Bungie. This includes packet loss or disconnections between your home network and Bungie (such as ISP saturation or general internet congestion). It can even be caused by certain WiFi setups, faulty in-home wiring, or other issues that require on-site support or expert investigation. Disconnects of this type can also be caused by bandwidth being claimed by other devices and applications. It may be necessary to avoid file-sharing, video streaming or other bandwidth intensive tasks on any device connected to your network while playing Destiny, including console applications that run in the background or in a window as you game. If you hit this frequently, please follow the suggestions in our Network Troubleshooting Guide to see if troubleshooting your setup, or switching from a wireless to a wired setup improves your experience. During investigation, Bungie has seen users hitting these errors in geographic clusters in different places at different times. For example, we recently detected 25% packet loss from the UK at the same time a number of users located there saw errors. Sometimes these issues can arise with ISP outages, resolving on their own over time. If you have performed all of the troubleshooting steps called out above and are still hitting these errors, you may not be able to resolve this issue by changing your home network configuration. Please contact your ISP for further assistance.

The server's message “Contacting Destiny Servers” indicates that there is a connection issue of some kind happening between you and Destiny 2. This may be an internet service provider issue. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue: A wired connection is recommended to play Destiny, and if your connection is being used for other things when playing the game, such as streaming, it's recommended to quit those programs. 2. Clearing your console cache or, if on PC, verifying the integrity of your game files. 3. Power cycling your internet router 4. Review our guide on improving latency and packet loss to see if that might help 5. Following our NTG for best optimizing your connection to Destiny. If issues persist, try our ADNG Advanced Steps Networking Guide for possible router solutions, such as enabling UPnP. You may also want to enable IPV6 on your router if you have it. 6. This player found a solution that involves installing a new network driver 7. You may want to change your DNS server on your console to Google's Nameservers (8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4.) 8. Contact your internet service provider to see if there are any issues with your connection.
Clearing your console’s/Pcs cache also your router fixes lots of problems. Doing this will also fix some connection-based issues by clearing the cache it resets your connection. Doing this a least once a month on consoles and for your router is recommended and also doing this after an update. Close console/router Unplug from the wall Leave unplugged for a full 5 mins this is very important. Plug back in and restart.
