I think they can, but I've never been entirely sure. Anyone know?

In The Flood, Silva orders the Master Chief to come to a meeting, and to leave his armor in his makeshift sleeping quarters in Alpha Base when attending said meeting.
-
They can. Usually UNSC technicians help them, but over the years SPARTANs learned how to do it themselves- noted by Fredric-104 during the Fall of Reach in First Strike.
-
Part of the S-II augmentation process involved Halsey super-gluing the MJOLNIR armour to them...
-
I've actually asked this question somewhere before. I heard all sorts of wild stories. But yeah, I think that Spartans can take of their armor. I heard that Master Chief did it during some meeting (Or something like that. I don't remember the details). Don't remember where I heard that though either.

It's not fully attached to them, they can take it off when ever they feel like it. But we really never read/see a Spartan taking off his armor.
-
The suits are also able to keep the wearer alive in the vacuum of space for a time, so while they can take them off, it's gotta be crazy hard.
Posted by: XThorGoldX If you notice, a large portion of the armor isn't actually armor. The majority of the suit is the underskin, with a few solid pieces fitted around vital points in the body. It's not a solid suit like a medieval suit of armor - he can detach the various fittings to the underskin, and take the underskin off as well (most likely, the skin is made of detachable parts, as well).
Yes, but I think that since the suit is basically a mulitlayered bodysuit under the armor, it would be somewhat of a hassle to get off once you got the armor off. (think of pulling a sock off your foot. now think of havign everything like that)

Yes its possible but alot of help of UNSC Technision

Yes, Spartans can get their suits off, even by themselves. S-117 takes off is suit in FoR when he is briefed by Major Silva. Heck, the suit even has a security system!

Well if they seemingly have bathroom functions, I wouldn't think it inappropriate to have a sort of cleaning process too. Especially since the Mark VI was one of the most expensive things produced by humanity. Also, I thought that it had to be taken off externally, by technicians because in TFoR the Chief was fitted with his new Mark V armor. Sort of like how Iron Man gets his armor off. How would you get a chest piece or waistband-piece off if they are a single shell and don't seem to slide off like regular clothes do.
-
If they couldn't take their armor off, how do you think it would smell in there after awhile?
-
haha that's a wierd notion. . .bonded with the user? When the Spartans (S-IIs)went through augmentation, i'm sure they're were either nude or barely clothed due to the large amount of surgery that needed to be done
-
K thanks. I just thought with all the augmentations a Spartan went through that there was the possibility that their armor bonded with the user.
-
Yes, it's just a suit of armor.
