I have played other games before in the past where important items wouldn’t simply fall off the map. This actually is a life or death scenario. You can practically be about to die and one orb of power can heal you, or even protect you.
(Better Already) (Protective Light)
We have all been in a fireteam during High End Game content and we’re praying for heavy ammo to drop and when it finally does it falls off the map. We have all wiped once before where we could have finished off the boss if we just would have had one more round of ammo that fell off the map 2 minutes before the Boss fight.

7 RepliesYeah, anything that falls off the map should go right in my pocket...
-
1 ReplyOr inside objects There should be a ghost mod that pulls it to you when you get a kill or go past it
-
1 ReplyI chased a rolling exotic engram off a cliff once...

1 ReplyThey just need to bring back ammo syths

7 RepliesYou know you heal by just standing right?

1 ReplyWarframe has a mod for your companion called "vacuum", which literally sucks everything towards your player. I think ghost mods, or even just having that ability intrinsic would be helpful.
-
19 RepliesYou should consider your positioning when engaging the enemy. Focus on accuracy instead of shooting at everything that moves.

Shoot to loot. 🧠

It should go to the mailbox, like everything else that falls off ledges does. Another solution would be to program it to automatically be picked up( ammo added to inventory, orb of lights would be absorbed) upon entering "the abyss", which would be far more practical and would make sense, because of space magic.

IMagine if shoot to loot worked on orbs and motes!

I agree with your opinion, but I personally have never experienced this issue. At least not in important circumstances. But that’s just me lol

Sh*t happens

5 RepliesActually I think that is one of the things that adds personality to Destiny. It used to be worse. Watching that purple rectangle of joy teeter and fall into oblivion just when you needed it most......lasting memories.

1 ReplyThis is why I didn’t vote for issac Newton the world didn’t need gravity
-
2 Replieswhen ammo, orbs, and engrams fall off the map there should be a slight delay and then the items are granted to you
-
12 RepliesI mean it sucks but its not a big deal. Not something Bungie needs to worry about changing for a while if ever.

Magnets Fixed

6 RepliesAdd tiny jetpacks to all ammo blocks, so you have to chase them? Sounds good, keeps engagements interesting.
-
4 RepliesHeavy and special falling off ledges the easiest way to bring about a loss in gambit. At least make it drop from another enemy, or just give us back our special and heavy synths. I’m actually sitting on sleeper catalyst because heavy drop rate is trash to kill 300 enemies with the slowest charge fusion in destiny history

I tend to agree. One question: What to do about those mobs that float in the air while we stand on land or platforms? There's no landing place for their drops.
-
1 ReplyWell Bungie purposely makes engrams fall off the map so they have to go to the postmaster to push out other crap. And they can’t make it too obvious so they let everything fall off🤦♂️
-
It’s difficult to be informative on this platform. I specifically stated orbs and heavy ammo only to read individuals are honing in on items that go to the post master. That’s not my debate or even my topic. Anyone that’s every had to clutch a GM nightfall knows how critical every ammo drop is. Orbs protect and save lives. Not to mention feed your fireteams abilities. I doubt it would be incredibly frustrating on Bungies part to simply add ledge protection. Thank you for reading Guardians.

You're totally right.

Watching heavy ammo fall into the deep abyss hurts my soul.

the physics in the game are wild, last year, early into the garden of salvation the motes out drop off the edge of the cliff into a field where you die. So you had a raid boss where we had to wipe if we don't have the motes. It took them a while to do it, but even now you see motes fall into the ground. If one thing is fixed, 3 things are broken. Such an odd game engine.
