I recently returned to Destiny, bought the DLC, bought the season pass and now i'm finding out that some of the build-enabling mods are unobtainable to me, because i didn't play last season. It seems ridiculous to me, that something as gameplay-relevant as mods are locked behind a season as that is a meta-defining mechanic. I read that in order to obtain the Servitor mods, i would have to buy the deluxe edition, the problem with that is that most of that content is now old hat and i'm playing on Xbox Gamepass. So i would basically be paying 70 euro just for a couple of mods that should be obtainable by anybody. Not only is this horrible for balancing, it's also extremely customer unfriendly. Considering i am now again a paying customer, playing the current content, i should not be punished. I also bought the base game back when it released, along with Forsaken full price. Cosmetics and such, tied to the seasons, i have no problem with, seeing as it doesn't influence actual gameplay. No other game with a "competetive" scene would ever allow this sort of thing, as it's the antithesis to what fair competition is. If anybody disagrees with this, i'd love to hear why that is, cause i'm struggling to see any good point.
