Nah, I hope it comes back, just like I hope at some point bungie bring back the season pass ornaments from old seasons. I completely understand the feeling of exclusivity and how it makes the owner feel unique and special, but it also makes people that don't have it feel incredibly bad inside - knowing that they will never own something as long as they live, especially in a game that they love so much. I feel like in regards to the season pass armor, they should bring it back, but make it so all season passes are selectable, but only for people that bought the seasons. And even then, make it cost 1000 silver to change your season and you can only change it once per season. I know that a lot of people, including myself found it hard to play and level up while dealing with life priorities. And with trials armor, I wouldn't mind them putting it in Xur as I am missing a few pieces, but I think I would prefer it if they just rotated the armor within trials so that you still have to earn it. I can't help, but miss the aspect of destiny 1 where if you see armor you like you can find out how to get it, then go and obtain it. It gave the game as well as myself a sense of freedom - I wouldn't have to worry about missing content because I didn't have enough time at a certain point in time, because I could play whenever I had time.

In the Trials Pool? No. It's already been Datamined the Armor "can" appear in Xur's Inventory. Do I like it? No. But I already have it and get to flash it around cuz I sweated and bled to get them at Games 3&5.

Its a looter shooter so the term gatekeep should not be used. It is merely cosmetic, it does not affect your gameplay. It has zero impact. For those who have it, its a memento to older times just like the old faction ornaments. It is okay not to have everything. Its not being gatekept. All pieces were available for over a year, requiring only 3 wins before 4 losses. With that being said, xur will sell it and thats all good. The term gatekeep insinuates toxicity and there has been none. As for when he will sell it, nobody knows. But he will.

I personally hope they don't bring it back. Exclusivity, especially in an MMO can prove to be a good thing for the game. There are sets I don't have in the game that I wish I had, when I see other people using that set it feels special. I may not have it personally, however it gives the owner a feeling of uniqueness. There are some things I have that other players don't have and that's okay. Exclusivity works both ways and it's what keeps certain things in the game feeling rare and special. I used to play World of Warcraft and that game went down the path of "everyone should have everything." I remember when rare mounts were RARE. It was special to see someone ride a rare mount even if you didn't have it or maybe would never get it. Expansion after expansion mounts became less rare to the point it is now where everyone has a "rare" mount. Everyone has it, so it's no longer special. It's no longer cool or unique, it's bland and ordinary. It would be sad to see the same thing happen in Destiny. It's okay if you don't have the old Trials armor. I feel your pain, but trust me, in the future you'll have things that are unique and special and the cycle continues. It inspires others to play and grind and that's why exclusivity is amazing in MMOs. Edit: Spelling and Grammar

Hopefully not. Including D1 this is the 3rd time it’s been reissued. Give us new stuff. The nostalgia only works for so long.

Considering Bungie has re-issued iron banner armor several times, I think its safe to say it will come back. They’re way too lazy to make another trials set for the next expansion guaranteed.
