After playing Destiny 1 for a few weeks I started noticing how much more loot drops from Destiny 1 while in patrol activities.
I made this video https://youtu.be/jQU5QVsMFi4 2 weeks ago to show what D1 is dropping for me.
Then I decided to get some direct comparisons and the outcome pretty much proved my assumptions. (Featured video).
Maybe reduce the frequency of public events in D2 and ramp up the loot generosity. Loot caches and HVTs could drop a bit better sometimes too.

Compared to other looter shooters, no. It's way more shooter than looter.

There’s plenty of both looting and shooting, so…. Yes?

It is more of a pay for forced metas and slightly better stats on weapons. Free to play = a bit stingy in said content or lock outs for paid for nightfalls.

33 RepliesNever understood the need for sparsity on the loot, materials and currencies earnings and holdings in this game at all. This is NOT an mmo despite what some misguided game developers tried forcing it to be.

7 RepliesSo D2 isn't a looter shooter because D1's patrols give more frequent drops?

3 RepliesNo shot am I spending ten minutes of my life watching someone get random drops in a seven year old video game, but from the minute that I watched, all I saw was: -Strange coins, which don’t even exist in D2 right now, from random world chests -Legendary engrams from world chests, which were already pretty rare and should never be the best option for farming loot anyway -Banshee giving armsday weapons. Was cool, but he literally sells weapons now anyway, the only difference is that A- he sells them throughout the week so you don’t need to make sure that you’re around at a specific time to get them iirc and B- you could only get one armsday weapon per week, so there’s less restriction on getting your new shiny toys -Random legendary engram drops from a boss, which we still get now, legendary engrams just kinda got phased out so we just get the weapon/armor immediately Idk fam, I’m getting spammed with legendaries on a constant basis. Not really an issue for me
