Can someone explain to me why Bungie has decided to implement a broken anti-cheat that bans you for cheating or having a third party software, even though you werent cheating, and or that software was for a differrent game. Or why their support team won't actually analzyse the account, because if they did they would clearly see this was a mistake. Please can someone help me understand. Because based on my calculations I have spent at least $1000 into this game and no one at Bungie's support team seems to care enough to help me out. Based on the emails I have received back from support, it seems very copy and paste. They were literally the same reply. Seems like poeple aren't doing their job and actually analysing and having a back and forth with the customer (me).
This is my last hope. I really love this game and am not willing to restart an account. Hoping someone from support who cares reads this.
For the poeple will say I was cheating and for me to stop winning. I wouldnt pour money and hundreds of hours into an account and risk losing it to an anti-cheat. I even bought the two future DLC that arent out yet.
Much love to everyone!

Hello there, The #Help forums are not able to assist with appeals of restrictions or bans. However, there is a process in place for you to appeal your ban or restriction. If you have already appealed, you have done all that you can. Posting in the forums cannot assist you beyond linking you to the appeal and speculation. Bungie will typically respond only if more info is needed or if the ban/restriction is altered. The form is for appeals only, they do not answer questions as to why or how long.
Requests for additional information, such as the length of a restriction or reason for a ban, will be disregarded. https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049024492
Please note that while every appeal is reviewed, as mentioned in the article, there is no guarantee for a response, nor is there a guarantee that your ban or restriction will be overturned. For more information on Bungie's policy regarding bans and restrictions, please review the policy here.

Because Bungie did that even before Battleeye, they can't detect actual cheats so they take pot shots by banning software that may interfere with game in memory, they actually need no proof that you actually modified the running memory, just as long as there's an app that possibly could do that. A lot of devs and similiar got banned in the early days for having Visual Basic editor running while playing, even though VB didn't touch the executable, that pretty much sums up the level of competency at bungie. Hell, first 2 months of D2 @ PC was people getting banned for having FPS counters, still might get you banned if you use 3rd party. So all bets are off, no one at Bungie is actually making an effort of banning actual cheats that bypass all of the above. Battleye has been proven to be pretty shite against any competent cheat.

Edited by iRambL: 11/29/2021 7:35:27 AMWhy does Bungie have to determine if the cheat is for this game or not? Battleye flags cheats for all sorts of games not just destiny. Why do they have to unbans your account because you screwed up and don’t pay attention to your own pc? Also $1000? You have barely 300 hours in this game so that’s a blatant lie

That doesn’t seem faulty to me. Bungie has repeatedly warned us not to run those type programs, even if they aren’t for d2. Many other people have done/tried the same thing & got banned…so you should’ve used their experience to know what not to do.

Because Bungie does not distinguish between cheats for D2 and another game. Because even if for another game your cheat interacted with the D2 game code. Because cheat programs sometimes use "I am for this other game" to disguise itself from anti-cheat detection systems. Because people lie regularly on these forums to say they were not cheating so no one knows who to belive anymore. Bungie warned us of this repeatedly and is covered in the games terms and conditions or Eula.
