So I linked my Xbox 1 with my Steam account because I was trying to see if it would help with my team chat cross play problems (don't ask me why I thought that would help).
I did not transfer any characters from my Xbox account, I just wanted to link the systems.
When I went back to my Xbox 1 I no longer seem to be able to access my characters. Instead the game is telling me to create a new character and when I went to change characters non of my other builds were there!
I now have a fresh hunter linked to my steam account, that I have somehow built on my xbox because I don't have destiny 2 on pc what so ever. On the cross save section of the website but there's nothing on my other characters, no information on how to access them, or how to switch from my steam account to my xbox account and if I wanted to deactivate the cross save I now have to wait 84 days because at some point in the previous week I purchased silver.
I wish to know how I can get back to using the characters I have built on Xbox 1 because I have no characters or DLC on the steam account because I haven't got destny 2 on steam.

10 RepliesHello there, When you activated cross save you selected your Steam account to be your active save file. What you are seeing now, when you log in, is the character(s) that were available to your Steam account prior to the cross save. To reactivate your xbox characters you will need to deactivate cross save, doing so will trigger a 90 day security cool down before cross save can be reactivated.

Your only option is to wait out the silver lockout period & then disable cross save. When you activated cross save, you erroneously chose your steam account to be the active account for cross save purposes.
