Witch queen Exotic speculation
Here me out on this one. I have a speculation that the Exotic SMG coming with witch queen will be Necrocasm. I know it might not sound right but let me explain.
1. We know bungie is prone to re-issuing old exotics, take a look at Mida, Suros, and hardlight as easy examples. On top of that last DLC we got No Time to Explain.
2. Necrocasm back in D1 was in fact an Auto Rifle but handled like an SMG if SMG's were in D2. From what we have seen of the witch queen DLC bundles the SMG closely resembles that of recluse which was a 900rpm SMG, why would I bring this up you might ask? Necrocasm was also a 900rpm auto rifle. Speaking of which, it wouldnt be a surprise if bungie decided to change Necrocasm to better fit a weapon type or frame or outright rework the weapon to better fit it into the Destiny 2 world.
3. Necrocasm was made entirely out of Hive parts just like this SMG we've seen when previewing the witch queen bundles. Arguably you could say "well so was touch of Malice whats your point here?" But Idk about you but changing a scout rifle with a bottomless clip to a fast firing SMG seems little absurd (and perhaps a little OP).
4. Necrocasm is a fan favorite and Witch Queen seems like the perfect time to bring it into D2.
This is all just speculation, I could very well be wrong but with all this in mind it would be very surprising if it wasn't Necrocasm but that's just me. Lemme know what y'all think tho.

2 RepliesI had this exact thought because, I bought the Destiny Moon Loot Crate and it came with a mini Necrochasm. Do I thought of myself why would they put that in, if the rest of the boxes only had D2 stuff. “Coincidence, I think not!”

4 RepliesThat’s an interesting theory. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case and I don’t know how I’d feel about it if it was. In theory, it’d be kind of cool. That gun was so fun to use on the first encounter of Crota’s end. I think it might be fun to use again. But I also want to see some new content from bungie. I guess we’ll find out when TWQ comes out.
