Cross save
So I’ve done a ton of work on my Xbox account before cross save was a thing. All of my friends swapped to PlayStation and now I have a ton of progress on that account as well. If I enable cross save can I pick and choose what characters get merged or is it just an entire account wide merge? Also if I choose my Xbox to be my main account due to year one items I can’t get anymore will I get all of the progress from my PlayStation account too and just lose the characters I leveled up? My PlayStation account has almost all characters above 1300 but my Xbox only has 1 above 1300 so I’m not sure if it’s like pick and choose or just get everything.

Activating cross save will not merge anything or let you pick/choose what you want to progress. You will pick 1 full set of account data, and that will be what you use across all the linked accounts.

Nothing gets transferred or merged, you pick one account to be the 'active' account, and that account, the characters and all progress, is then playable on all linked platforms. Any characters, progress, etc, on other accounts, become dormant until such a time that the cross-save is cancelled.
