Removing D2 and expansions from Game pass to hit me with a “deal” to purchase them is a -blam!- move. PERIOD.

Why are you hating on Bungie for Microsoft’s subscription model for Xbox?
-
Actually - it is to some degree Bungie's issue. They clearly made a decision to pull the game from gamepass. Resulting in all gamepass D2 players from having content removed (apart from PC) - Yes it isnt so bad to get standard edition Shadowkeep and BL (apart from now being asked if I want to upgrade to deluxe BL even though I own it on PS and D2 should know my account has it already). I doubt Microsoft told them they weren't going to keep the game on Gamepass as it definitely has brought them a user base. IMO, Bungie removed it as they may have seen little to no benefit from a monetization point of view. And unfortunately that is what drives a lot of Bungie decisions it seems.

Dude, the content was never going to be in the subscription indefinitely. Microsoft paid to have it there for X time. That time passed. It’s not Bungie’s fault that Microsoft just screwed Xbox players.
-
It has nothing to do with Microsoft. The owner of the game decides on how long they want the contract to include their game. Bungie just used it as “free” advertising for their next instalment to get new players hooked. It was a marketing tool.
-
How was it “free” marketing if they had to pay for it? What are you on about?
-
Sir, this is a Microsoft product. It is not Bungie’s fault. People bought the game pass from Microsoft, gave money to Microsoft, and are now mad at Bungie for how Microsoft run Xbox game pass. The content was never going to stay in there indefinitely. By design.
