Cross play has ruined crucible. It’s garbage! I guess it’s the only way they can keep players and keep the twitchers happy! See you later Bungie! Not spending another dime with you!

2 RepliesEdited by Nahj: 11/24/2021 7:10:11 AMThey need freelance control apparently. It's a catch22 situation for pretty much every player. You have people that don't play this game for fun at all. They play it for ego only because their lives suck. Every streamer and youtuber out there has a discord as well as LFG all you see is LF CONTROL STACK...it's seriously out of hand. I'm not a PvP god. I have consistently went flawless since returning this season but holy hell I've never seen so much 2-3-4 stacks in control since I've been playing this game. I'm sitting at silver 1 elo in control (top 37%) hovering around a 2.0kda for the season because I only que SOLO in control and generally play the objective and don't try to slay out. Yet I'm diamond 3 in trials (top 1%). I'll que 15 games and lose 10. Every other game is stack stack stack stack or join in progress. I see WHY the better players are queing stacks. It's because the lobby balancing system is an absolute joke. My last 10 matches were like a 30-40% chance to win. I'll be consistent top of the team and expected to carry 3 players that shouldn't even be in the same lobby as the enemy team period. Me 1.9ish 2: 1.7ish (2 if I'm lucky) then its .8 .3 .6 .9 It's really out of hand in 6's. You have maps designed for 4v4...you have the ridiculous super chaining...then all the stacks to boot team shotting. The majority of these guys aren't "just having fun with friends". I'll dumpster some of them and they'll proceed to ONLY engage me with the team and proceed to tbag and emote. The majority of teams I've ran across are toxic teenagers or maybe unsuccessful social rejects that need someone to hold their hand because they can't win a 1v1 but they need the superficial ego boost they can only obtain in this game. It's an even worse experience for the players on the lower end of the skill spectrum(hence the CONSTANT forum posts) The bottom 3-4 players I usually end up with on me team go anywhere from .17 to .7-8 KDA most games. They are literally spending more time in the spawn screen and trying to run to a team mate or engagement than they are shooting their guns. Most games it's impossible for me to hard carry 3-4 team mates even with another decent player. The stacks make it even worse. Even if they aren't that good they'll at least push together. I usually manage to try to play my life but then my whole team is dead and the spawns are flipped and I get collapsed on from almost every angle and get team shot destroyed and at best I can go for a trade. It's an absolute garbage experience for both ends of the skill spectrum. I know I know "go play comp" "go play rumble" those are DIFFERENT game modes. They aren't objective based and they aren't 6v6. I don't want to play survival and I don't want to play spawn kill to 20. Far more players play crucible and its multitude of playlists than people play trials. Bungie's data showed there was no issue having freelance for trials so it CERTAINLY shouldn't be a problem for quickplay playlists. At this point it looks like I'll have to stack if I want to actually have somewhat of a close match more than 1 game in 15. Its consistently either the game gives me players I can't carry or I get a join in progress on a game against a stack of try hards rocking their flawless/unbroken titles that's already in a 30-40point lead. Then after idk...maybe 6-7 of those matches their forced 50/50win loss kicks in and they'll toss me in some games where we completely stomp and mercy the enemy team(basically a guaranteed win) hence the silver 1 elo in control. I lose a ton for "close" games even if I only had a 40% chance to win but the wins the game tosses me are complete stomps with a 80-99% chance to win which only rewards a tiny amount of elo. yes I'm aware bungie doesn't use elo but that doesn't discount it as an accurate set of data to see what's really going on behind the scenes. Also, at this point you don't even need to go to destiny tracker....you can scroll through your teams kda at the match start. If I'm the highest or second highest efficiency on the team 9/10 times I already know its going to be an uphill slog that will likely end in a loss with me and one other guy being the only ones on the team that go positive. Just look at my match history for today(23rd is technically yesterday) That's a problem and I would assume a likely contributing factor to the stacks. If you're above average the game is going to give you a miserable experience the majority of your games. If you're below average it will likely be the same because you'll get tossed on a team with players far better than you that are expected to carry you...meanwhile at least 4 out of 6 on the enemy team will likely be better than you resulting in you getting stomped. If you're lower skill I would recommend not playing or playing survival it will likely be better than control/clash etc. Apparently if you're higher skill playing stacked is the move which will likely result in stomp 4/5 games or just not playing...its a pitiful state. https://destinytracker.com/destiny-2/profile/psn/4611686018440139889/overview

1 ReplyWhat is it about cross-play that seems to draw out the worst in people. It’s a good thing. I had been longing to play with friends on PS4 and M n’ K for ages. So what if it ruins a PvP match? You’re being selfish. Just because you lost some insignificant game of control doesn’t mean bungo should take away cross play. Think about that.
-
Cross play needs work in PVP, not gonna lie, but you might want to read the most recent TWAB before shouting "Bungie doesn’t care".

1 ReplyEdited by Fish: 11/26/2021 5:43:26 PMHow does crossplay being a laggy mess help the "twitchers". The obsession with associating all problems with content creators is super unhealthy. They're people just like us. They just happen to make money off of their hobby. If anything they have a vested interest in making sure a game succeeds, because a game's popularity can translate to viewership. Content creators have been acknowledging that cross play is a mess to and that it should be addressed, so there goes your whole theory about how this is their fault.

I think they care I just don’t think they know what to do. We can all see they are struggling, let’s hope they can get PvP turned around.
-
PvP is very fun, loving crucible, the sweat filled matches make it even more fun, except when people use the cat ear dance, then it makes me beyond pissed.
-
Perhaps you are crap at crucible? It seems fine to me.
-
I am with you there. This is the first time I've not Pre ordered and I am not spending another cent until my favourite game modes are sorted out and made fun again (crucible).
-
Yes I've posted on this multiple times funny how you don't see dmg reply to this

1 ReplyAll bungie cares about is maintaining the facade of a good game enough so people will download it, maybe bye one or two expansions realize the game at its core sucks and leave
-
You sure showed them, big boy!

2 RepliesOof There’s always one thing posts like these have in common

*buys $10 in silver to spite you*

There’s a way to systematically remove cross play for Xbox but we would have to convince all of the platform to make the move in order for it work. It’s in the system settings of Xbox. If you drill down to multiplayer preferences inside of privacy and security, you can limit your lobbies to Xbox only. No idea for other platforms but it actually works. Problem is that you won’t get any lobbies until enough people migrate. Maybe bump this up to twitch/YouTubers on console? I dunno but it sucks for everyone right now.

*Crucible is crap and Bungie doesn't care.
-
Ah yes lets cry about the streamer 😂 Keep crying

3 RepliesHasn't changed anything there's just more players
-
I personally think the problem has always just been the maps. They’re too small for the movement and too hallway centric.
-
That’s a weird way of letting us know you’re trash at pvp
-
They’ve been tweaking it and changing things left and right. These threads don’t many sense anymore.
-
6 RepliesConsidering all the changes they did on the most recent twab... Yeah, i believe they care a bit.

6 RepliesGreat feedback mouthbreather, bye
