About This TWAB...

Disclosure - I'm a Warlock main, but put in a good bit of time on my Hunter too. Rarely touch my Titan but I try to keep him leveled. I love when a TWAB has a lotta detail, but this one doesn't look like its gonna A. be well received, or B. fit smoothly into the game. The biggest takeaways/issues I had: -As a mainly PvE player, I'm content with a lot of what was said. Seems like in general PvE abilities are either getting slightly buffed or not affected -That said, I'm not happy about almost all the Warlock supers being Tier 1/2 for cooldowns. Like, Arcstrider being a faster cooldown than Nova Warp just doesn't seem like it makes sense. I don't quite understand it, but we have to wait and see what happens -Silence & Squall remaining un-nerfed, and sitting at Tier 4 cooldown doesn't make sense either given how much its used, and putting it above something like Chaos Reach seems odd after the nerf to Geomag Stabilizers -Removing the one-hit-kill abilities from Titans and Warlocks, while adding a OHK grenade to Hunters is again, odd. Now, they nerfed shatterdive which is adding balance, but that still leaves two OGK abilities for Hunters while the others have none (although I'd guess a Titan w/Peregrine could still OHK). In general, I can't say I'm mad about these notes -- it seems like every class lost more than it gained, but it comes of as though Titans and Warlocks lost a good bit more than Hunters. I could be very wrong so we have to see how this is implemented. It definitely isn't helping the "Bungie Loves Hunters" and "Nerf Warlocks" memes though xD

  • Before I start, hunter main here I get the shoulder charge nerf since it doesn't really have a cooldown timer, but I do think it's a rather unnecessary nerf. In a game where shotguns especially are so dominant and getting up close to someone is usually a death sentence, I dont really ger why they're nerfing it, though peregrine grieves will still allow the one shot. As a golden gun pvp main, I do feel like it's fair to leave the knife a one shot. It's the only one shot ability in the game that requires a but of brain power to execute, and if you miss the headshot, then you're already dead. You actually have to be pretty good with the knives to consistently kill with it. Now for the Flux nade buff, I feel like it balances itself since you only get 1 nade every 3 minutes, if you don't spec HARD into discipline, you pretty much get 2, MAYBE 3 nades a game. Plus it won't track anymore. We really gotta wait to see how it pans out first. But also, THANK GOD GLACIAL NADE PVP NERF! BEGONE SHATTERDIVE! Now my real concern is pve. As stated I am a hunter main, but I'm well rounded in that part of the game and play all 3, leaning more towards warlock in endgame. The nerfs to dodge in particular is going to put hunters in an even worse spot in pve. It feels like bungie is just trying to run hunters out of pve all together given that they've given all of the best things about them to warlock and titan, and now are making yet another one of the only things going for them worse (which is only coming because of pvp mind you). Also, the warlock and titan super thing. I always run shadebinder or rally banner in gms. Those nerfs are going to hurt bad with those supers. Really bad. Not to mention the bleakwatcher nerf too. It just feels like all of these nerfs and complete overhaul of the game is coming because of pvp, it's its all going to do some serious damage to pve. It's not good, and I'm extremely concerned.
