Why So Much Lag/Latency?
This crossplay stuff on console is absolutely insane. Combine the lag with Cronus and PvP has become unplayable.

1 ReplyI killed someone today and it took about 10 seconds for it to tell me. It was so long I figured that I did not kill them. When I’m in games where people are lagging across the map I just leave. Can Bungie do geographical match making? I know it might be tough due to lower player counts.

Hasn't been too bad for me in IB this week. I have no idea why that is to the point that I'm almost afraid to type this. Saladblend might see this and say "give him the lag!"

It's their matchmaking, I don't even know if it's skill based anymore but when you get into games with people outside your time zone bad things happen.

It is absolutely unplayable. I'm constantly one shot killed by sidearms from accros the map, while my 120 headshots are registered when the opponent already healed a few times.

Edited by Kuzie: 11/5/2021 1:24:50 PMPVP was never playable in Destiny 2 its was a mess form the start. lol Weapons sucked TTK sucked FPS sucked Matchmaking sucked Most of the new Maps sucked 4V4 mode sucked So bungie walked back a tone of changes and here we are, its not to say they are not trying but its Amazing how bungie can hit a home run then completely drop the ball ( trials revamp, all the pointless changes to date) Can i see this version of Destiny 2 going another 10yrs no.. not a chance the engine is massively out of date. The entire iuses with cross play on console is absolutely insane yes, but it stems from P2P hybrid networking system which is bad in any pvp shooter. Combine that cheating weather it be with Cronus Zen or cheat software these players will take the path of less Resistance to there goals So PvP has become quite unplayable. UPDATE: less than 24hrs later and yet another walk back by bungie on trials matchmaking.. they had a great working model in trials lab just stick with it we know your trying but stop trying to please both camps the changes bought players in and kept them playing ...fact
