make stasis tornadoes disappear if the hunter who casted it dies.

with stasis hunters already being the best in class for ease of use, it is super not cool to just let them panic cast this, die, still kill 1-3 people and lock off an area of the map. most supers, no matter how powerful (and annoying), they are require some skill to execute effectively, but this one just requires you to press F in an important part of the map, or when you are about to die. this would balance it out in pretty much every situation, so that way hunters will have to be more thoughtful of how they cast their super or be more careful of adds in raids and stuff like that if they want to help their team DPS. edit: yeah looking on it now, yeah that would be a large nerf, i just want to stop panic casting. what about a cast speed nerf? or super damage resistance nerf? you could also add in a duration buff with it or something, i just dont thunk panic casting should be viable in a punish or be punished gameplay scenario. reminder that i dont hate hunters either, im not some salty warlock main who wants all hunters to die. stop accusing of such nonsense.

  • Anyone who gets killed by squall without having been frozen first is an idiot, but okay I’ll play along. If a nova bomb is cast but I kill the warlock as he’s casting - it should disappear If someone throws a Dawnblade but dies in the meantime, it should disappear If a Titan throws a hammer and dies, the hammer should disappear, as should any sunspots. If a Titan throws a shield and dies, it should disappear If a hunter is killed throwing blade barrage, all blades should disappear If a Behemoth dies, all the crystals should disappear If a Shadebinder dies, any projectiles thrown should disappear. Let’s apply the same rules to all subclasses equally

          • How about we do this instead. Whenever anyone cast their super…balloons and pixie dust fly out and then everyone gets a participation medal and the game ends.

              • Sure, but only if the following happens, regardless of whether it's a connection issue or an actual flaw that benefits the user: Nova Bomb, Dawnblade, Blade Barrage, Golden Gun, Hammers, and Chaos get their hit boxes fixed so they aren't hitting me when they missed by a mile or through a 15 meter thick wall/ corner and killing me a full second after I can no longer be targeted. Remove explosions damaging you through/ around walls and other solid objects you can't shoot through. Fix Sentinel Shield so it can't hit a wall dead on, bounce up 90° to hit you, then bounce off of you to hit 3 of your teammates. They finally fix or disable Dunemarchers and Heir Apparent like they've disabled Telesto and other (at times) less broken weapons. Fix Burning Maul's tracking so it doesn't turn 90° around a corner to hit you. Nerf it to match Winter's Wrath's tracking. Make line of sight a requirement for Winter to shatter you and fix it's ability to shatter AFTER you've used your super to break out. And last but not least, for the game to punish titans using the bubble on capture objectives, especially in Trials as that's essentially a free round/ game win card in almost all circumstances. Maybe do to them what they did to Ager's in Mayhem?

                  • It needs a significant nerf but also a slight buff. What makes it tooooo much is the fact that iy can passively lock down a large portion of a map. Nothing else in the game comes remotely close in functionality. It's utterly insane. It lasts way too long, has too large a radius, and travels too fast. HOWEVER, the casting speed and casting conditions are pretty bad. It needs to be easier and quicker to cast and be more of a shutdown than a fn cover half a map in an ice tornado lol

                    It just needs a duration nerf. It shouldn't last a long time and move as fast as it does. Vortex Nova Bomb doesn't even last a quarter of its duration and it doesnt move or have as much radius.

                    • The Forums never cease to amaze me just how much Warlock and Titan mains hate hunters, even though they have even more utility and far more support. What about everyone panic throwing pulse, burn, and wall grenades? Witherhoard? Should it all disappear immediately? S&S is made for area denial, same as grenades, titan barricade, Witherhoard etc. This reminds me of another post I saw last week about how Oathkeepers needed to be nerfed because it “allowed hunters to do something no other class can”

                      • I agree with you, and before all the Hunters on the forums come breathing down my neck, I also think all Light-based abilities should fade if the Guardian who cast them dies. [spoiler]Who am I kidding, we're never gonna get through to all these Hunters[/spoiler]

                      • I think a better solution would be finding a way to add a counter in for the tornado - I know the Titans have their reflecty-boi boots but thats hard to use and also locked to one class. Like, I don't think the tornado remaining after the hunter's death is really the root issue and it feels like that'd be a peripheral fix that wouldn't really be balancing things out

                      • It shouldn't disappear, but silence and squall is a pretty ridiculous ability. It's true power gets displayed when multiple players cast at the same time. I played a control map and 4 enemy players popped the ability at the same time. Their was no map left, the only class that has the same level of map control may be siege breaker with sun spots, but it's much harder to drop them out in a similar area. The roaming nature of the super especially when several are dropped becomes aggravating. I'm not asking for a nerf, because honestly I think all the super abilities should be completely removed from pvp modes except mayhem. I do however think it should be looked at.

                        • How about just make them disappear always? Seems like the only way to balance the super at this point. It’s a guaranteed kill if an enemy is anywhere near where you throw it. Def the easiest super to use in the history of Destiny.
