Festival of the Lost is almost over, how many of you dropped it after the nerfs?
When I heard about the page and candy method via wrathborn hunts, I was actually excited to log in and do an activity I haven't in months and maybe get some good rolls out of it. Then the nerf came, then another. I think I've bought 5 pages from Eva and decided I'm good, none of this is worth the time investment Bungie so desperately wants us to have.
The Lost sectors were kinda fun tbh, but holy smokes why do I need to dedicate the majority of my playtime outside of this activity? Let me just play it and earn progress, stop making us do your core activities if they haven't been touched or adjusted in years. I will not be surprised at all when the majority of players do not earn the gambit and vanguard ornament for Ascendancy.
They really need to rework everything from strikes, crucible, and gambit if they want us to continue playing them over and over again, just thinking about Gambit and it's whopping 2 maps it makes me want to uninstall. We get this "new" activity for a limited time and it just absolutely baffles me that Bungie wants us to play anything OTHER THAN the new activity.
Oh well, at least they made some money via eververse, we all know that's why this was even a thing. Either buy silver or spend all your bright dust to avoid FOMO, leaving you with none for the upcoming 30th anniversary eververse refresh (sorry, "celebration") in December. Plus the Dawning too? Eververse is getting a lot of content all of the sudden...

2 RepliesThe event burns everyone out with it’s ridiculous grind. That said it’s hard to argue with multiple legendaries dropping every 10-15 minutes of play time - and it was nice to see an actual new event for a change.

I just collected candy and pages playing as normal. Just wearing a FOTL mask. Then when I got to ~75 spectral pages I went and did haunted lost sectors to manifest as many as I could. I got it all done early in the second week without trying to farm pages or candy. I don’t see what the big deal was with needing to farm for any of it. It felt effortless and easy getting it all just playing the game. If it wasn’t for all a boo-hoo posts around here I’d never even notice anything was “nerfed”.

I did but took it one step further I canceled my witch queen preorder and stopped playing entirely. Why would I play a game whose priority isn’t my entertainment but attempting to scam me with dcv and farm me for infinite amount of time. No sir I was close to a tipping point but the completely petty and bs nerfs to farms pushed me over the edge.

All are dark & murky places, all have a great layout & would benefit from the Pumpkin Heads & Hordes[/i] —— But I much preferred the Spooky Sectors (except the Europa LS) to the stale old Haunted Forest Overall, it was trash (and even the Dinosaur armour didn’t fit the event - plus Silver/BD …it should have been rewards for mask acquisitions) 2/10 for not being Haunted Forest

Stopped playing after the insta nerfs Anything that has an overly positive affect on the player gets the nerf gun with aim assist Patch that prior to reset!!!! Can’t have them getting too much loot and completing activities too quickly Anything that affects the player in a negative manner….we get the ole “we are looking into it and plan to address in a future update” It’s been a reoccurring theme season after season with no end in sight I mean they even nerfed the festival loot from the strike a few weeks ago because it could get completed quicker Why even do this ? Surely this time can be spent more wisely Load outs New maps Auto dismantle of blue engrams Vault space Nope we get the candy nerf

Jokes on you I didn't play it even before the nerfs lol I just dropped my horde of dust on the armor and peiced, there's nothing in the game worth playing it for for more than a week or two

I snagged the base roll for Jurassic Green and that was that. Boring activity. Cool looking but bad gun.

Golden rule for Destiny events: Play and farm them hard in the first couple days or be prepared for a slog. They always make an oversight and over correct soon after.

I got my god roll green and hopped off after the second day. So it didn’t bother me tbh.

The amount of Candy required for the Masks was sickening. And wearing the crappy stat masks 😬 I completed early in week 2. Never bothered with it again.

I never even farmed the wrathborn hunts. I did the challenge of getting the gambit ornament, and got all my candy from there.
