No more.
I'm done with Destiny. I've been playing since D1 beta, I still have the install. With the announcement that dungeons are only going to be included with the deluxe edition of Witch Queen, or bought separately...that was the last straw. The fact they're removing the entire Forsaken expansion..that we paid for...as well as forcing us to spend money to buy dungeons. I'm done. I've spent hundreds of £ on this franchise...to be let down and disappointed time and time again. I thought that with Forsaken, they had turned a corner...I was wrong. I will no longer buy a terrible season pass, for a game that allows the PvP aspect to influence the pve mode. You have just lost one of your most stall wart followers. I hope the game implodes like WoW.

1 ReplyI'm not thrilled with the whole pay-for-dungeons thing either, but the Content Vault complaints gotta stop. When's the last time you said 'hey, I wanna run Spider Wanted Bounties'? Sure, there's people out there that do em, but most of us haven't touched that stuff in years.

Oh yeah, asking you to pay them again to get Ghorn for a second time, at least the first time you paid them for an (((Expansion))) Actual decent content for the game. Oh, and more useless cosmetics that I won't be surprised to see it being sold through eververse some time down the line for silver, and a dungeon that offers glimmer for a reward a hell a lot more often than not. Awesome!

FOR FREE. They are also throwing in 3 free iconic player skins from previous games to commemorate their 20 year anniversary. That's how you reward a player base for its loyalty. Not removing content they've paid for then charging £90 for the stuff that's replacing it. Or charging £30 for a nostalgia fix RL. And no, I don't hate Destiny. But yes I will be voting with my wallet. Before anyone gives me that advice.

4 RepliesFirst of all, i feel you. Bungie on their own without activision has only disappointed me since they are on their own. I am in the same boat as you, have put uncountable amounts of time into this franchise. I always tell myself, hmm wait for the next expansion, maybe it'll be better. Then it arrives and we get less content, worse throwaway content, content removed, focus exclusively on one vendor "Tess", no life support at all for the core game. I think its time to part ways aswell after seeing what Bungie on their own has planned with Destiny. I'll just wait with my decision till february. If the new "campaign" is even remotely similar to beyond lights 1,5 hour campaign that got stretched to 8 hrs by making us grind aspects and fragments for garbage -blam!- stasis and the core, pillar activities still see no love, then i'll say bb aswell. It's so unbelievable to me that they annualy not only delete all the added seasonal stuff, no they also delete whole planets and content from the past. This is an MMO, MMO's GROW. This one shrinks. And that stinks. And the core game, the playlists we play on the daily basis, the ones that STAY, rather get contennt removed than added (maps, strikes, gambit maps) Those haven't seen updates in YEARS. And btw, wow is far from "dead" like ppl try to say. it still has more active players than 5 Destiny games would have combined. If you call that dead, then counter strike, apex, league etc are dead af aswell.

1 ReplyPeople will always defend vaulting it still shocks me that people say its fine, its just a company being lazy they could atleast keep the campaigns and put champions in like a mini raid playlist. with games like eso they don't remove your content and I could be wrong but I'm sure that eso has more content too. I do love playing destiny but even myself included are close to getting a refund on witchqueen because I believe bungie is being too greedy

You know in another few months time they're going to finally open dedicated pvp servers just like you always wanted... then charge you a dollar a match for server access. And you'll still be here defending them won't you? Even when they start charging you like a 1-900 phone "companionship" line. Rather or not I buy the content I'm capable of seeing that this is indefensible.

13 RepliesNot to be that guy, but you stuck around after Sunsetting took all of The Red War, The Curse of Osiris, Warmind, Gambit Prime, The Reckoning, The Menagerie, The Sundial, and over 70% of our favorite legendary loot? Only to have reached the last straw with...not even all of Forsaken, just the Tangled Shore content? That's odd, at least to me. The dungeons and Bungie's continued efforts to find the worst ways to monetize their loyal long time players, I get that. Just wondering why the Tangled Shore content would be anyone's last straw.

You should do a YouTube video, start with why your leaving, then delete all your weapons and armor, then delete your characters. If you don't I know you will be back for witch queen.
