Pinnacle gear not dropping correct light level
I went and did my strikes for pinnacle gear and dropped me a energy weapon that is one light lower than what I already have. I'm not sure what's going on here but it should not be taking this long to work on my hunter for the season and still can't do end game activities because my light is to low and this is frustrating. I am currently focusing on PvP and not exactly worried about it. I scratch my head about some things in this game haha I am far from the hard cap in the game, but this is still a workout 🙋

7 RepliesYeah, depending on what light level your energy weapon was, that's totally possible. Doesn't sound like you know how the leveling system works? Maybe check out a guide if you don't like to struggle and want to level up quickly.

1 ReplyThe reason this happened is actually likely because strike pinnacles are only +1 above your light level. Your Hunter is 1322 base, but has a 1324 energy. Strikes, gambit, and pvp will only drop 1323 items until you level up again.

5 RepliesSomething that I have learned, by my own fault, is that the game only catalogues the highest light level equipped. AND if you remove your highest light level gear from your character (either by transferring to another character or putting it your vault) it no longer considers those as contributing to that light level, and will revert. It has to at least be in your character’s inventory. And you have to equip all the highest pieces at least once to cross the threshold. I don’t know if this explains your case, or is helpful, but I know it has happened to me. So I watch that carefully now.
