I simply can't get through the idea of giving it 1 sec charge time. This archetype (Glacioclasm from Christmas event specificaly) was my go to fusion rifle for PvP when I felt like having fun. Since the FR changes I haven't touched it too much because I feared the worst. I'm forcing myself on keeping and trying it but it's torture.
Gameplay after gameplay I just came to conclusion that this archetype is useless and I am angry about that. It feels slugish and unrewarding. Like going onto suicide mission for that one kill and then respawn. I'm totally not happy for the change to this archetype (also what about Europa's fusion? It went under radar)
Hopefully I'm not alone and that enough feedback will make you consider changing these guns.

7 RepliesYou can thank the triggered HC/Shotgun mains for that nerf
-
1 ReplyFusions (especially main ingredient, null composure and similar archetypes and plug one) are very good, I’d say some even broken so no I say nerf fusion damage.
-
It was the ONLY archetype used since Forsaken. It had its time. Find a new Crutch…. 😈
-
3 RepliesOh no maybe you should use a skillful weapon instead
-
The goal of this is to force players to pre charge ALL engagements with it. Now all other fusion classes, even rapid fires, have skyrocketed in value in pvp, since it’s VERY difficult to effectively use one the “right,” way in pvp.

Edited by ZombieQahnaarin: 10/27/2021 10:08:26 PMGrind for iota Draconis. Been having a blast using it with kickstart and accelerated coils. Don’t recommend liquid coils because it only increases the damage by 1.

I felt your pain. I’m a fusion main with 34k on my Erentil, a few thousand on Glacioclasm, and a bunch on Elatha FR4 and Wizened Rebuke. But it’s not the end. Telesto is the answer to all your problems. As soon as they unlock it again after ironing out the latest bugs, I want you to take it into crucible and keep it on no matter what. Iron Banner. Trials. Survival. Master it. It is the best, by far. I miss the high impact fusions too, especially Erentil before the QuickDraw nerf... but Telesto is the ultimate embodiment of all our anger and wrath. The range, the charge time, the tricks.... it’s as awesome as it gets.

I've been able to get it to work on top tree dawn with icarus. Gotta bait them to come to you, but if u get the timing right it's a guaranteed kill every time
-
Agreed. New fusion has so much potential but it just got shrekked.
-
Bungie should drop their charge time to 900. Start there and see what happens. It’s a huge difference when it comes to fusion rifles.
-
8 RepliesAdept plug one is a game changer in pvp, just saying. I absolutely trashed on teams with it in trials cauldron map.

Edited by coda-jj: 10/27/2021 2:25:01 PMYeah 1000 doesn’t make sense They have 400,500,600,700 and straight to 1000. Figured they’d go to 8-900 on these. My guess is they went to 1000 to get people away from them and will bring them more in line once every adapts to using other types
-
Total garbage in PvE, unless the target is slowed or stunned.. 1 charge fusion rifle 2 check email & snarfle a quick snack 3 fire fusion rifle ZZZZZZzzzzz...
-
1 ReplyThey also made them unusable in PVE. It's better to use the fusions with a shorter charge time.
-
I agree that the archetype has been pretty much ruined, but the improvement that quick charging fusions gained had outweighed that heavily. I keep two Cartesians on me at all types. One godroll for PvP one vorpal for PvE. It kills at the same distance as my erentil did. Why would I go back? Fusions are way more viable for every type of content now, I just don’t have to wait as long to charge them.

4 RepliesEdited by JazzyPaladin477: 10/27/2021 10:35:26 AMI think the high impacts should let you hold the charge for a few seconds, like a drawn bow does. Your pre-charge timing has be so perfect on these things, it would allow a little more forgiveness while still keeping the fire rate down.
-
2 RepliesYou absolutely have to pre charge them. If you don't, you're dead.
-
2 RepliesEven 860 ms was high, with the ammount of movement and shotgun range. I think its time bungie infuse adaptive frame and rapid fire frame into 1 with 530 ms charge and High impact with 800 ms charge.
-
Idk how to feel about them honestly. They don't SUCK, but precision frames definitely have a leg up over them.

It' is useless, especially this season one Draconis whatever, TRUST me i have every role possible (at crucible) this gun is one of the worst IF not the worst gun in the game, why Bungie create a gun to.be that useless? Just to increase loot pool? Oh we have a variety of guns...i have more success with Coriolis at crucible so you can have an idea of how bad this gun is, 2000 years ti charge and basically no DMG at all, just scrap this piece of Sh!t.
-
1 ReplyI haze always felt that must fusion rifles world hold to charge and release to fire.... honestly rapid fires should just pull out the stops and channel the pocket infinity without the reload thing. Just hold down the button and **** all over the enemy.
-
2 RepliesI think that fusions are very cheesy and should be brought in like that.
-
-blam!- are they awful now. At least the other archetypes were made even better than they already were. The precision frames get long range kills while the rapid fires basically take the place of backup plan as a shotgun rusher counter.
-
10 RepliesThat's what happens when a weapon archetype dares to step foot in the handcannon shotgun meta. People don't want to adapt and change their playstyle, so they whine until their competition gets nerfed
-
Same here. Glacioclasm was my gun. Have about 9000 pvp kills with it. 1 second charge makes it useless. Main ingredient it is now.
