Known Issue: Increase in Rutabaga Errors
A group of individuals discovered and reported an issue where players can generate more orbs than intended when triggering some supers. The team has been working on a fix for this, currently targeting December for release.
To prevent exploitation of this issue, the team has deployed some changes that will force Rutabaga errors when players attempt to reproduce the bug. With this change, we are also aware that players who experience extreme sustained framerate hitching in PvP environments may encounter this error more frequently than normal.
If you encounter Rutabaga errors when playing in PvP environments for reasons other than reproducing the orb generation issue, please respond to this thread with details on what you were doing when the error occurred.

When I try to launch the mission the harbinger on the EDZ I get returned to orbit with the alert for timeskew and error code rutabaga.

Rutabaga errors are now preventing me from entering Shattered Realm and completing seasonal triumphs/challenges. Before this week, i would get a short fps drop upon entering shattered realm and legendary lost sectors, which would go away after a few seconds. Now I cannot even start these activities. Solutions I've Tried: -Borderless Window -Fucllscreen -Low Graphics Settings -No Alt Tabbing None of these have fixed the problem

At first it was just Gambit and now I can’t even go to Europa without Rutabaga. Is this getting fixed or am I just never allowed to play gambit again or go to Europa because the game thinks I’m cheating?

If i can't do my dailiy/weeklies because of you guys suck there's no need to trying any further. And there are absolutely nothing else to do in this game.

I logged in , played 3 crucible matches , played 1 gambit match and i queued for gambit again. It kicked me for 1 fps lasted 1 one second. I tried again and got kicked. Again and got kicked and banned. I was slowly returning to Destiny 2 after 2 years. Well nope not anymore. Ty.

1 ReplyI cannot play the game period. The second I load in with my ship the framerate drops to 1-2 frames per second. This persists no matter what I do. I've tried updating my drivers, clearing caches, clearing ram space, lowering graphics settings to their lowest possible values, deleting and restarting the game and pc. Nothing has worked properly with the game despite everything else on my computer functioning as intended. Please roll back the fix.

I can't play Gambit and enter Tangled Shore due to the rutabaga errors, even when I lowered my graphic settings.

1 ReplyIt has happened the last 3 times I attempted to load into Gambit and I was penalized for leaving and have gone through 2 unjustified 20 minute bans. It also occasionally happens when I have been playing Iron banner.

Same issue happening here as everyone else. I've tried to uninstall the game, update graphics drives, lower graphics settings, made sure I wasn't running other apps, etc. For me specifically, error causes me to get kicked out of Gambit before loading in (occurs after ship loading screen, before seeing the Drifter; then suspends me from the activity if I try enough) and doesn't even let me land in the Dreaming City (occurs after load screen, goes black and sends me back to orbit with Time Skewed Max (Rutabaga) error - no Aegers Scepter for me I guess). Really frustrating given I'm a returning player and paid a lot of money for all the DLC's and even pre-ordered Witch Queen. Please prioritize and fix.

Rutabaga out of a GM and I'm not even allowed to join back a GM sort it out, I'm not even trying to orb glitch I'm playing the game as intended and I keep getting at least 1 every day

I'm getting these errors frequently, to the point of having two timeouts from gambit while trying to complete the malfeasance quest, which I am now struggling to make any progress in. I have no consistent situations where I'm losing frames, excepting invasions, where the red flare becomes prelude to a 9-10 frame rate hold. I can also safely report that I'm receiving frame rate drops in all game modes minus crucible since I don't want to do straight pvp with this going on.

Really trying to be patient.... But now not only is it causing errors with Gambit and Crucible, but now I can't get to Europa to turn in my memory fragments and the most frustrating I cant land in the EDZ to get to Xur...... Sorry Bungie but your temp fix is worse than the problem! I even tried turning all my graphics down and the error persists, I can't land on planets (Except The Tower), I can only occasionally get into Gambit without get getting a 20 minute cool down for leaving early (When I'm not even getting into the game.....) PLEASE FIX IT!!!! Roll back the patch or fix the error soon, this is nearly unplayable!!!!!

1 ReplyJust got a Rutabaga error [i]before[/i] a Iron Banner match had even started - saw flying into map, saw Guardian line up, black screen then before I saw any gameplay got the error.

Edited by TTVTheDemonCore: 11/4/2021 5:11:04 PMok so theres 1/2 of the player bace getting this error code BUNGIE WAKE UP DO YOU THINK WE ALL ARE USEING THIS GLITCH fu@k no you honestly need to do something ive encounterd this when i loading in to a pvp match when the chars pop up and show the stats bam rutabaga why ? why would some one do that right there ? ive also seen it happing in pvp if i can get in that is where there i s firey explosions be it gernades or any of the supers from titan hunter or warlock from the oppseing team and its happend because of team mates its happend in all pvp type of matches its happend in gambit same reasons its happend from when pve when the scorn captions summoned there frie crystles its happend when i been frozen and everythime i havent had a super so why would i be doing anything to get this error code ? i have used ddu display driver uninstaller to completely wipe the display drivers off 100% that helped for a few days its also happend in vangard missions to top it off i use controler so why would i get this error

Ever since the maintenance I keep receiving rutabaga errors when opening the quest directory while playing gambit and sometimes when I'm about to respawn too, not even alt+tabbing and it just happens

The games are a bug nest! You have to do the job correctly! I have friends who are ADLS 15 mega / s they have no error code, I have constant 300 mega/s fiber I have crazy error codes! Intel 7 10700F graphics card 3070! Cdt

Had this happen to me multiple times, I've had frame hitching before where it would happen while playing pvp and it would be really bad. This would only happen about once every 10 hours of playing, now whenever it happens there is about a 50/50 chance I get sent to orbit. Not orb glitching, just playing the game normally, I usually play with google chrome and discord open.

Been getting this Rutabaga coed in PVP and PVE. The only thing I run besides destiny is discord. I am not trying to generate orbs. I am just playing the game as intended.

2nd Rutabaga, this time just by alt tabbing to turning off music while in a private match with a friend. This bug is concerning cause I heard people have been banned for this. I don't want to be banned! thank you for reading this! Have a great day! :)

I did restart, and just finished an Iron Banner game just fine. MSI Afterburner showed frame drops from 60 (My v-synced FPS cap), and a restart removed it. A bit of hitching frames before Rutabaga. Latest Nvida drivers. - Have had issues with framreates before, but never had Rutabaga errors. These are the only error codes since start of this season. - Previous FPS issues were mitigated by ALT + ENTER (to switch from fullscreen/window mode quickly). Never had issues with error codes. - The first Rutabaga error today was when alt/tabbing to see MSI Afterburners frames monitoring. This resulted in the first one. The 2nd during an Iron Banner game. - FPS Performance have never been better/more stable than it has since start of Season 15. But these very rare moments of FPS issues in Crucible games are odd. - It almost seems like it is cache-related and/or memory related. usually, I can play with fantastic performance (stable, no issues), and then after a while these FPS drops start. Restart solves it, and I can play for a few days, with no problems. Then one game here and there will hitch/stutter. Not sure. - Using 1GB as texture cache in Nvidia's newest driver. EDIT: Just played another 2 Iron Banner games with great performance and no issues. Again; after a restart of D2.

Starting this morning I have been receiving Rutabaga Errors every time I try to join Gambit mode. I haven't changed any settings and I was just working yesterday. I have Discord and Spotify running in the background, but I always do and it has never been an issue in the past. Tried setting graphics to lowest and am still receiving the error. I don't get into the Gambit match, it errors out as I fly in to the Derelict, but is still counting me as leaving mid match. I have received 3 Gambit Restrictions just trying to get it to let me in today. Running an Invidia GeForce GTX 1050 if that matters, it hasn't been an issue in the past but it's been erroring out every time I try to run Gambit.

Everytime i join crucible i get rutabaga and kicked, the last time i actually managed to play the match for 2 minutes before getting booted off; Player models are also not loading for me in crucible even though i have good performance in everything else. Have tried changing graphic settings to no avail and no fps change. i own an rx580 gpu

3 RepliesPeople are unjustly getting banned and locked out of activities, I cant load into gambit or crucible and I get decent frames on the game. (30-50). I cant play the game and I don't alt tab. If I lose access to activities because of forced rutabagas then that's very scum. Don't kill a chunk of your player base trying to punish a smaller portion.
