Known Issue: Increase in Rutabaga Errors
A group of individuals discovered and reported an issue where players can generate more orbs than intended when triggering some supers. The team has been working on a fix for this, currently targeting December for release.
To prevent exploitation of this issue, the team has deployed some changes that will force Rutabaga errors when players attempt to reproduce the bug. With this change, we are also aware that players who experience extreme sustained framerate hitching in PvP environments may encounter this error more frequently than normal.
If you encounter Rutabaga errors when playing in PvP environments for reasons other than reproducing the orb generation issue, please respond to this thread with details on what you were doing when the error occurred.

3 RepliesPeople are unjustly getting banned and locked out of activities, I cant load into gambit or crucible and I get decent frames on the game. (30-50). I cant play the game and I don't alt tab. If I lose access to activities because of forced rutabagas then that's very scum. Don't kill a chunk of your player base trying to punish a smaller portion.

I just got rutabaga again and now I'm timed out from comp. Please fix this as I can't play pvp without getting kicked.

I was just loading into a gambit game. Alt tabbed from youtube and back to destiny. Have a 3700x running on balanced power mode. 3600mhz c16 ram. 2080 ti. and 970 evo plus 500gb. has been happening to my friend the whole night we've been running gambit.

I've had this twice in trials tonight, just after you fly in and the black screen appears just before it shows the team's loadouts. Now I'm banned from the crucible. Fantastic effort lads. I play everything on low and average probably around 150 FPS.

I get Rutabaga every time I enter an iron banner or PVP game since the exploit was discovered. Two in a row now, but my FPS isn't notably bad. Really hope this gets solved soon as I'm not looking to get suspended /banned.

Edited by MagmaDawg: 11/2/2021 11:14:08 PMMany other titles running BattlEye with a "Low Latency" setting to ON either in Nvidia's Control Panel and/or the game settings have reported performance issues. Could be related to the FPS drops/stuttering causing Rutabaga error codes. Quick Google search will result in tons of threads about it. Turned them OFF everywhere and will test further.

I get Rutabaga errors every few hours when playing PvP... just got booted from a trials match and couldn't rejoin so that's real fun. Nothing seems to trigger them. They just kinda happen. I'm running a 3060 Ti and I cap my frames at 60 so I don't really know why I would be getting sudden catastrophic frame drops unless its some sort of internal memory leak.

Anytime in PvP if I sustain any frame drop, small or large, I instantly receive a rutabaga error code. It happens especially in 6v6 and Trials for some reason

i've been getting rutabaga a lot lately and i'm not exactly sure why, i was actually suspended from competitive due to getting the error too much. said i left too many matches. im also getting crap for frames, and i cant even play without being kicked. i was only able to do a few trials matches before i called it quits. i was also getting plum, but you can see im poo poo at the game and i obviously have no cheats installed.

I just got Rutabaga error 5 times in a row trying to play gambit, now i'm temporarily suspended :/ this needs to be fixed really soon, i wanted to complet seasonal challenges but it's impossible with this error, please do something quick....

I can't even get signed into the game anymore, it just says "Destiny 2 servers are not available. Dismiss this message to try again. For more information, visit help.bungie.net". People are getting banned unfairly for not knowing how the rutabaga error code works or how to avoid doing said exploits.

I got kicked out of gambit twice in a row. Never made it to drifter's cutscene either. I'd also get struck with other random errors while trying to do PvE activities and get boot to orbit for no reason. Plum is another that keeps occuring, even though I've got no cheats installed on my pc.

I got the code twice in trials, and i didnt even load into the match and got the crucible comp suspension. Please bungie fix this, I just want to play my crucible comp in peace.

I've played trials today and yesterday and got the Rutabaga report 4 times. I don't do anything, i don't have lag or framdrops, but just out of nowhere i get really low fps, lag and get kicked after 2 secounds. I'm really tired of getting banned from trials, and not being able to play with my friends because of this. My settings are really low, have frames caped and i don't ALT + Tab. I'm just tired of getting punished for doing nothing.

I am also receiving this error - very frustrating. Since around the 30th and 31st of October, my game will turn black for a few moments when loading into PVP game-modes like Gambit or Crucible. After a moment, I will be kicked with the 'Time-Dilation Exceeded' message and rutabaga error code. I effectively cannot play the game like this, hope a fix is in soon.

I was killing people in Crucible with Ticuu's Divination. No alt tabs or anything. Please either fix your code or stop making your weapons require guardian kills.

I've gotten the rutabaga error a few times now, out of nowhere when im just running around. I've had it in all 3 ritual activities (strike, cruc, gamb) and I just got it in trials when i was titan gliding after an opponent on widow's court. had my super up, but wasn't casting it - just had DMT out and was sprinting/gliding

But now i can neither launch gambit nor crucible at all... it keeps kicking me and suspending me. As far as i remember i have never seen the glitch during my play (with an average of a complete frame freeze every time a new ability is loading on screen for the first time that is saying a lot). I also think even on slightly more powerful computers when loading you can lose frames so maybe leave the time to load in before the insta-kick (no one can realistically intentionally replicate the glitch the instant they load in) In short : loading in or loading an ability on screen causes drops (significant ones on low performance computers) and it makes the game think you are trying to make the glitch happen. Edit : and yeah this temporary fix prevents me from playing half the game pretty much so i hope a better solution is found soon.
