🤪💡 Might be Crazy enough Idea to work. Take away the reason why cheaters Cheat to show off their bogus stats. If it is not tracked and KD no longer exists then what's the Point? No tracking stats of any kind
Just the best team wins the match. No individual stat tracking of any kind to show off. So what do you think? 🤔
📣 No hateful or nasty comments please. Use your intelligence! 🧠

1 ReplyWin percentage is the only one that shows skill. (Depends on games played obviously)
-
1 ReplyI personally think we need to do away with kda and put up kd like it was in d1

1 ReplyNo ones going to agree to this. People want stuff like trials report to weed out the less skilled and save time getting flawless. It’s unfortunate, but it is what it is. People don’t care about excluding others in the gaming world in today’s society, especially if there’s a chance to make serious cash our of the more desperate people. Almost no one will willingly help a person get flawless without something in return. It’s deplorable, but again. This is today’s society.

1 ReplyI've always wondered why people sported their KDA and then ask to have it removed from the game.

1 ReplyEdited by Entity: 10/26/2021 8:27:18 AMI mean if youre on console your not likely to fight a cheater lmao I get accused of cheating almost every trials session each week, people are just terrible at the game and can't fathom when other players beat them, and cope with it by assuming someone is cheating. And also, cheating has nothing to do with K/D lol I get your just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks but hiding k/d wouldnt even reduce the cheating issues on PC whatsoever, and seems to be a pointless measure. If anything, it sounds to me your just embarrassed of your stats overall lmao what did an LFG not wanna carry you or something?

2 RepliesEdited by Myth: 10/26/2021 1:34:50 AMI’m sure cheaters just do it for the rewards or to piss people off.
Some men just want a tangerine…
-
1 ReplyThat’ll probably alienate some pvp oriented players looking to do trials with an lfg team. (Not that it would matter too much with the introduction of matchmaking in trials)
-
Edited by Emurinus: 10/25/2021 10:04:11 PMI was under the impression that most cheaters were doing it for the rewards more than bragging rights, hence why they're more common in endgame pvp.

1 ReplyI would rather them fix their network. Cheating exist because it is easier on P2P connection. With cross play they don’t have to cheat the latency is horrible
-
1 ReplyThis a joke, bud? It's a core statistic for measuring performance in a game. Taking it away makes no sense. Yeah, Bungie's anti-cheat is basically useless, but taking away a key stat tracker isn't the play.
-
I dont think kd is the reason cheaters cheat.. I'm pretty sure they cheat so that they can get easy wins(there are easy ways to inflate one's stats that dont require them to risk their account getting banned) , taking away the ability to see your kd is gonna do nothing for cheaters but it will frustrate the players wanting to show that off.

1 ReplyWhat alcohol/drugs do you take before making these posts? I need them.

1 ReplyThe truth is, at high levels of game play, actual game play is indistinguishable from cheating. Your anti cheat bot can detect things like network manipulation but thing like aim bots, macros, etc, you can only detect meaningfully by game play data. And a lot of these try hards who think they're gods gift to gaming will find them selves getting banned for "automation like game play detected". You are, ultimately, better off removing the ego from it. Games can track kd for match making but publishing it only creates hostility. People judge me for my low kd. What they don't know is that I had taken a two year break from the game and when I returned I started playing iron banner heavily because I wanted to bang my head into a brick wall. If you can dodge a brick then you can dodge a dodge ball type of thing. So sure my kdr is 0.5. I also have rounds where I've gone 5.0 with almost 40 kills spending all my time sliding around on my shiny smooth butt cheeks just like the try hard youtubers. Kdr is not a good way to judge your ability as a player. Yes. Iron was a bad decision but being honest I was not the deciding factor in any game I played. I wanted an insurmountable challenge to start my time back in the game and chose pve and pvp events that were beyond me to get a feel for things. It's worked rather well honestly.

5 RepliesI actually wouldn’t have a problem with removing KD Wouldn’t have a problem removing it from all games tbh
-
3 RepliesHow about they go even further and make it so that both teams win every match? And instead of kills/deaths/ assists they can do hugs/tickles/high-fives .
-
1 ReplyTbh I don’t see how this stops cheaters. Cheaters aren’t doing it to brag and tell people they are top ranked pvp players. They don’t bring that attention to themselves. Of course some do. But most don’t. And you kinda want the ones that do since bringing attention to themselves could lead to a ban.
-
Don't think it would make cheater stop but there would be way less stacked sweats in QP

Edited by The White Rabbit: 10/25/2021 12:48:03 AMThen how will anyone know what size their -blam!- hat is?
-
PC players stay losing ☠️☠️☠️
-
Removing artificial numbers won't stop someone from cheating. If anything, it just removes a metric that can gauge a players potential level. Cheaters are either gonna have bottom tier kd because they suck -blam!- and decided to install cheats to overcome that. Or they do it to never lose and therefore have super bloated kds. If bungie actually looked at those numbers more closely, some of the cheaters would be pretty easy to catch. Are all of them that stupid, no not at all. I had no idea bakengangsta was a cheater until bungie called him out.
-
1 ReplyMost cheaters do it for the high end loot not their KD, and you can't take loot out of a looter shooter lol, but I get your point sadly they won't care as long as they get that easy unearned loot. The real problem with cheaters is bungie being a grandma that only (and only 1% of the time) slaps the cheaters hand and telling them "don't cheat please", until they actually implement a real anti-cheat, this will continue as it always has been since D1.
-
If someone wants to cheat, they're gonna cheat. Taking KD away won't deincentivice them.
-
Mate no offense but I doubt removing kd will fix the issue. Most people cheat because of the loot, not because KD is so precious because its a burner account most of the time. The last thing they will think about is "Hoo boy, there goes my KD if i get banned"
-
If you try to understand the ”why” people cheat, Think you’ll see that they cheat to get the rewards Acquiring KD is a by product and not the sole reason to cheat.
-
People cheat mainly due to paid services or just for the hell of it. Don’t think many do it for KD.
