Forcing teams into 3 foot wide choke points is such horrible map design
On top of that the stupid doors just make it even worse

3 RepliesEdited by Sohsuh: 10/23/2021 10:45:07 PMThis is why Bungie is a garbage developer. They finally try out Freelance trials and what do they do? Pick one of the worst maps. Why didn't they pick a fan favorite like Endless Vale for Freelance weekend? They are so out of touch it's not even funny. Bonehead decision after bonehead decision. A map full of doors that close how fun! What a joke. How did Modern Doorfare design make it into Destiny?

1 ReplyTwilight Gap. Why it was ever brought back is beyond my comprehension.
-
2 RepliesIs it just me or do we have this post every weekend, no matter the map?
-
1 ReplyAnd anomaly.
-
What did bungie not release anymore pvp maps?

Every map has its flaws…that’s why map awareness is important.
-
I love it. Just went flawless on my first card 🤣 I actually helped too!
-
I went flawless solo freelance. Granted, I'm absolutely terrible in Trials, but this small map forced me to focus more since teams were in such close quarters.
-
It’s a ok map for solo freelance but for if trying to go flawless with friends F that map.
-
I found it surprisingly good for freelance trials. You don't have to spend half the round running from spawn and without teams coordinating, flanks and collapses were doable. I do find cauldron in regular trials painful against well coordinated teams. Snipers way back head glitching while their team baits, then insta-push with shatterdive hunters or TTD the moment they get a pick.

1 ReplyYeah it pretty much all comes down to whoever gets the first kill wins
-
The heavy spawn is horrible as well
-
Get rid of the doors
-
Just stop going in the red roop and nobody will be camping anymore. When you directly go to mid by using the outside doors, you prevent the other team from putting down their rift/camping strat I never understood why people always go to the red room...
-
It’s not as bad now they rotate spawn points.
-
The map is so small and the radar is so big…it is impossible to flank. All you can really do is get first pick or hope they come in middle. But hard agree this map is balls
-
2 RepliesNope, this Bungies incompetence in splitting up Trials in 8 different pools…🤦♀️
-
Stompees lightweight shotgun rushing into center map and shatterdive the doorway for nice and easy doubles and triple kills 😂🤜🧊
-
1 ReplyJust because that lane is favored, does not mean that's the lane you should always play.
-
3 RepliesDefinitely a map for patience and coordinated flanking!
-
1 ReplyCauldron is dogwater just like anomaly
-
4 RepliesThat map went from being a map where I felt like I could carry almost any team in 6s to being a map that I'm almost sure to lose in 6s. I was worried about 3s because of all the ohk but with less people and the doors it actually works quite well. A lot of people hate the doors and they can definitely be annoying when they close at the "wrong" time and open too slow but I think if you play off them right it really helps with the ohk spam. Was surprised how much distance I could create just with those and the radar. Its all in how you look at it. There's a lot of people that are just relying on some of these weapons and abilities to do all the work and you can take advantage of that on that map more than I was expecting.

Cauldron on Halloween event with radar disabled in Destiny 1 was the only time I even reached 6 wins in a row in Trials.. lost on the last game, but still memorable. It has close quarters or long range.. there are way worse maps.
-
I love Cauldron, honestly
-
Cauldron is awesome!
-
It’s a great map for 3s what are you on about.
