At this point Beyond Light’s main selling point of new subclass feels like a bait and switch.
At launch we had crowd control sub class that was way too hot and def needed to be tuned.
However the sweats, streamers and paid carry/recovs cried that movement based game play had a counter and Bungie caved to their free publicity crowd.
Behemoth got ruined Shadebinder sorta works as a crowd control sub class but Revenant feels more like damage subclass than crowd control.
Did stasis need tuning? Definitely. I’ll never forget yoinking people 10 meters with a duskfield grenade. Does shatter dive need to be toned down to remove the one shot roaming supers damage? Yeah.
But the changes that have been made to duskfield grenades, shurikens and every other ability have ruined the subclasses focus of crowd control.

1 ReplyI like stasis and it was an amazing idea and I still enjoy it not only in gameplay but also the lore idea behind it and fully support it. But sadly the pvp community didn't like it and destroyed it. I really hope the next dark subclass to be good. And this time for Bungie to think that there are crybabies in the community who can't handle something new. Stasis was amazing especially in the beginning.

2 RepliesEdited by Milo: 10/21/2021 12:11:56 AMI don’t remember how behemoth was in pvp but I think the biggest issue for people using behemoth in pve is that they don’t know how to use it. Slam. Freeze mob/make crystals, then slide or run through to shatter to kill them and surrounding enemies. Spamming slam does nothing. If you can’t slay adds with behemoth, you aren’t using it right.
-
LoL discredited the moment you blamed Streamers. Everyone and their mothers hated Stasis. Not just Streamers. And Shurikens were broken AF along with everything else Stasis. Let go of your Crutch.
-
3 RepliesIf you think shuriken were fine the way they were before, you're part of the problem. They were waaaay -blam!- busted, and they got what they deserved.
-
Good... let Stasis Die like the Darkness we are Suposed to fight and not wield... Stasis was Pure PvP Nightmare fuel... it was Disgusting seeing every time you join a lobby only Stasis and frozen people and only Stasis cheese Kills... i hope stasis will vanish one Day like a killed thrall

7 RepliesStasis ruined PvP. Plain and simple.
-
1 ReplyEdited by QUIET: 10/20/2021 1:24:00 PMits not the streamers or players fault. its bungie's fault. Just make different sandboxes for pve nad pvp and all the problems regarding balancing are solved.
-
1 ReplyWell since its “identity” ruined the game, not many people care. I personally will probably never use Stasis again, simply due to the level of resentment I have, and will always have, for it. Which is sad, because it’s a really cool idea and if it shipped in its current state, I’d probably love it.
-
1 ReplyPvp and pve need separate sandboxes

7 Repliesstasis ruined crucible.

1 ReplyThe whole Stasis addition was ultimately a huge failure to me. Shadebinder bore the brunt of the initial Stasis backlash and got walloped hard within days. I've never enjoyed returning to it either in PvE or PvP. Revenant and Behemoth don't feel great in PvE, again entirely subjective, though I enjoy the Behemoth superslide but not the melee. Revenant remains an OP PvP choice but will be levelled, we hope, when Shatterdiving combo gets a very long overdue proper adjustment. It should see a substantial PvP nerf but a simultaneous PvE buff in my opinion. Overall the multitude of Fragments are a little much and a big part of that problem is the shocking lack of a saved loadouts feature in Destiny 2.

1 ReplyIm more in favor of beyond light being vaulted at this point. I hardly use any of its content anymore.
-
Its great in pve, especially with that septar gun.. I run a stasis hunter in pvp with duskfield and no shatter dive and warlock bleakwatcher in pve. However, I do love bottom tree solar lock. Phoenix dive has got me out of some tasty scrapes
-
Stasis is really good in pve tho... Maybe not titan but I don't think it was ever good in pve it was weird.
-
In my opinion, when Zavala said “I don’t want guardians using this power blah blah” They should hve made it’s own mode where perhaps drifter would oversee it? He does gambit already where we fight other guardians. It wouldn’t be bad fit at all
-
They were over nerfed without a doubt. A shuriken does like 48 damage! Not only is slow nerfed to the floor but they killed its damage. Stasis needs a buff sry kids who don't like it but it really does. Slow time needs to be upped, grenades like dusk and snap need to work better. U can casually walk out of a damn dusk.. like really.. and dance machines with stasis could of been the buff needed but instantly nerfed... hunters can't get a break

1 ReplyLmao "Stasis Crutch Made his crutch got nerfed" more news at 4.

Edited by KayOsS882: 10/21/2021 7:57:23 AMUsing the power of the darkness was touted as a game changer… until the community wanted it to be nerfed to oblivion.
-
4 RepliesAgree but I also don’t believe they should nerf anymore, shatterdive is fine
-
Edited by Goldeygamer12: 10/21/2021 7:30:26 AMI love stasis as it is i don't know what your talking about but its still fun to me. PVE I DONT PLAY HUNTER
-
Nerf it more.
-
1 ReplyYou might be using it wrong. All 3 still feel pretty strong in pve for add control. The problem is it requires builds and fine tuning with your aspects and fragments as well as an exotic to get the most out of it. With the right build withering blades wreck in low to mid tier content, same for behemoth. Shadebinder feels better for high end content since it lacks shatter abilities or offensive melees.
-
They need to revert any nerf on PVE side and stop hurting PVE because of PVP.
-
Edited by netorarentr: 10/20/2021 10:08:17 PMpve destiny will always be limited because of the pvp side. can't make over the top and fun supers, classes, class abilities, weapons, exotics, etc. because it'll give the pvp team a headache lol. and when it gets tuned on the pvp side, it almost becomes useless in pve. gotta give credit to bungie for trying to make it "work" and running all these years.

I dont know, Ive run stasis in pvp usually only if a bounty requires it and the stat advantages alone make them stand out, I personally just dont like how slow the stasis classes feel, the only one I still feel is mobile enough to warrant using would be revenant but I still far prefer the light classes personally
