Good Morning,
I am trying to play Destiny 2 on a recently built PC. I have now done three fresh installs of Destiny 2 in 24 hours and have not managed to get to the character selection screen once.
I have completed the game file verification process after crashing on each install, which comes back saying I have no files that have been corrupted and no issues.
In this current state, I simply cannot play the game. I get to the 'Press Any Key To Continue' screen and soon as it runs through the verification process and checks storage space, where it would usually boot to the character selection screen, I crash to desktop with the marmot error code.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Mine is the same issue. It happened right at their halloween update. I was going to try to do the override last city mission after waiting a month and then this happened :(

Edited by Wintermute 2050: 10/15/2021 2:37:31 AMI received this error at least once on Xbox. Since FOTL began I have been getting disconnects with various error codes, especially when flying into the Tower. I have reset the modem and the console, but there has not been any difference. Something I have noticed consistently is that at 2:30 AM I see the notification "Contacting Destiny Servers". The notifications occur over a period of 5 -10 minutes.
I get to the 'Press Any Key To Continue' screen and soon as it runs through the verification process and checks storage space, where it would usually boot to the character selection screen, I crash to desktop with the marmot error code.
Same issue with 2 different computers. Tried every trick I could find, reinstalling both the game and BE, tried older drivers, even swapped in my older gfx card on my gaming rig to try if that would help but nothing worked. Finally installed the game on my work computer that can barely run the game and got the same error code.

That sounds exactly like the issue I've been facing, but it's giving me the chicken error code.

1 ReplyI unfortunately have the same issue. It allows me to play the game then just crashes. I haven't tried to reinstall yet, but will attempt soon. Did anyone else get something in the error code that said file verification?? How do I do that?

3 RepliesI've been playing with no issues since D2 Launched on PC and never had issues like this before. Since the latest Halloween update have been unable to launch it instantly crashes with the error code marmot now, I haven't changed anything in my PC. I have verified and reinstalled destiny 2, I have also updated all my drivers, still the same marmot issue.
