Trials of Osiris solo matchmaking is just terrifying, awful, unfair and maddening.
I'm not a bad pvp player, but often I play solo.
I'm currently on Heroic II in Osiris ranking, mostly from losses. Since Trials came back, I reached this rank and I have ONLY TWO victories.
What's happening?
Why am I fighting against a lot of pre made groups?
Why I'm clearly fighting with ppl that are skilled very way beyond the group I am?
The number of headshots that I saw is beyond the "they are just good". Is BattleEye working?
I can't tell how many losses I've had, and I can't describe how much frustrating all this is.

The “solo” matchmaking without an exclusive solo matchmaking list is just terrible and it keeps getting worse. If bungie has any intention of making it playable to a wider audience, they need the keep the Only “solo” list, given that Bubgie is complete incompetent with the matchmaking system. If not, it is better to keep it as originally was: no matchmaking and only for 3 player squads. At least at that moment everyone was aware that Osiris trials was a hardcore pvp mode not intended for everyone. Now, with matchmaking they pretent it can be playable for more players, but at the end it is a victory farming system for 3players squads decently coordinated. It has the worst matchmaking systems over the place. I can it see it difficult to implement some tier classifications as games as Apex or another dozen of shooters do around the place. Weekends like this is pure crap.

2 RepliesEdited by Beagler: 10/11/2021 7:24:53 AMWhilst I'm fully on board with making trials more accessible to a wider playerbase, someone with your abilities ie a 0.7kd in NORMAL crucible shouldn't really be expecting to win a lot of trials matches. Furthermore, freelance would help to a degree and probably not in the way you imagined. I doubt you'll play better vs solos but instead you're more likely to be carried in freelance because I doubt many people would pick you up in LFG.

1 ReplyYou have a lifetime KD of 0.66 and 39 total lifetime hours of crucible. I'm going to be blunt here. You're just too green. You're a noob compared to the rest of the player base and you should adjust your expectations accordingly. There is no hand-holding in trials and the spirit of the game mode dictates that you should make some friends and stack up.

10 RepliesYou're playing a game mode where you're facing some of the best players in the game.....on pre-made TEAMS....and you're playing solo, with randoms. If you're winning anything more than about once every third or fourth match? YOu're doing really good. Datto put out a video talking about it...and he was winning about every third match. ...and that was with him HARD CARRYING a lot of the blueberries he got matched with and facing down a ton of 1v2s and 1v3s. Fallout Plays did 50 consecutive solo queue matches....and only managed one flawless card. Solo queue is for loot farming. If you're serious about winning? Make a team.

Why do bad pvp players constantly say they aren't bad? I just don't get it. Dudes a .2 in trials. It's gonna be a bad experience for you no matter what bungie does man, just sayin...

1 ReplyI did a card yesterday in a team and the host said he was going to back out of matchmaking if it paired us with another 3-stack, cause he only wanted to match with solos. We never once got paired with another 3-stack. There definitely is something wonky about the trials matchmaking and it is definitely against ppl trying to play solo.

Also I looked you up, sorry mate your stats are terrible. You've also only played like 500 matches total you can't expect to be good at a shooter game you haven't put time into. I'm decent and I say decent loosely just barely having a lifetime positive kd and a kda that's only 1.24 and I have well over 4000 matches and many many hours on D1 and d2

The changes they are making is to make more people care about trials or at least feel it could be used to get loot they want even if it sucks. If you're getting loot playing a losing card up to 7 wins then getting engrams after 7 regardless of losses on the card you can't complain the matchmaking is stacked suck it up and grind. If you're fed up lfg

I've gone flawless twice off solo flawless. Matches 1,2 and 7 are always the hardest.

2 RepliesAfter going flawless 3x. The first week was awesome. Wish they didnt change that formula. But sweats and streamers complained how they only face 3 stacks and cant stomp solos, at least that's what it looks like to me 🤷♂️. The 2nd week got tougher with the change. Then my solo qs were either I was the best in my team or am in a team with 2 sweats lol. It was weird, it feels like matches are too rigged this 50/50 won/loss thing they have isnt fun or fair. Idk if they will ever fix it, they will probably give in and add freelance and you only face solo player but I think they havent added it because they dont want to split the community/players in trials. Because the sweats and streamers need to carry for views and clicks, and they wont or dont wanna sweat every game then they will complain. In short just go in as a 3 stack. As long as all 3 of you can communicate slightly, you will beat the teams of 3 solo players. Unless somehow 3 solo sweats just matched together lol

With the dedicated players mad about the Flawless pool (I support it) and people having ample time to get their loot rolls, I'm surprised it's still considered healthy. Like, I just don't think the Trials base understands how few there are of them compared to the people -blam!- dont care about the game mode.

1 ReplyI can agree for this weekend especially. Though, my problem is getting teammates who seem to not know what game they are playing. (Respectfully) Whether its running solo to test the water for the weekend, one member of my team if someone isn't on, or a full stack. It never fails to get matched with/against people that have no sense of the environment they are playing in. We ALL know the players I'm talking about. I get that if you don't have a full fireteam you have a disadvantage knowingly going into the entire weekend. I get that everyone should be able to play and have a shot at some loot regardless of how good or bad they are. No sane person would have an issues with those things. I'm not asking for sweat teammates, I'm not even asking to not play 3 stacks. As respectfully as I can say this, just put casuals like this somewhere else for their sake and ours. Quietly create a matchmaking kiddie pool if you have to. its not fun for them to play in the lobby in general, not for us and not for them as lower tier players. They know they are in a lobby above their skill bracket after the first round and leave half of the time anyways. The Devs have separated the pools into two when it should be 3. Make it flawless, not flawless, and basically playing for bounties. Its not going to hurt anyone and if they go flawless in the kiddie pool who has a problem with that? nobody. My advice to the Devs is to just do it under the radar and not say a word that way they mitigate the amount drama and frustration surrounding the playlist.

Honestly just paying for flawless is less stressful experience then playing as a solo.

I have had at least 5 matches where I went 0-5, keep going 0-5, and I'm honestly not shooting the floor or afk... I thought there was supposed to be some kind of "stop getting the shaft" pool that you get put in if you keep getting cleaned out. Non flawless, and it is Monday Night, soo....... let's try again Bungie
