Dunemarchers are working as intended?

A user punches a guardian ONCE. This punched guardian chains damage into another guardian TWICE? Enough to get a guardian killed that you haven't even shot, punched or even seen??

    • When I can kill more people from across the map with a Single punch than my partner using his Tickle fingers super, you know we may have an issue here.

    • The perk itself is fine. What’s not fine is how insane glitchy it is. I have won rounds because of triple chaining and chains off dead bodies. Even as Titan main mysef, this shouldn’t be a thing and it’s clearly broken. Honestly, I rather they just remove the lightning chain and replace it with something else. Or remove both the perks on T Steps and Dunes to match it with Stompees.

      Its been mentioned they are are finally being looking into/fixed(my bet is it will roll out on dec 7th with the other PvP adjustments/re-tuning). They are fine if they worked as intended but they dont currently, as they: Enable skating on PC, chain 30m, chain off corpses, chain through walls and ceilings, double and triple chain into the same player that was not even the initial target. Ive seen a(as in singular/just the one)7th column off dune marchers and multiple slayers. They also put chappy over the top via body shots only required via dune marcher chains.

    • Wait, people actually have problems with Dunemarchers? I don't remember the last time I got killed by them tbh. I guess your first mistake is letting people get into melee range in the first place. Oh well, nerf them all you want I guess. I only ever use them to titan skate faster. I could care less about the chain melee haha.

        • Ha, Dunemunchers make the Warlock's go tssssss. The official Destiny subreddit had a popular post, that had like 2,000 Warlocks complaining about Dunemunchers.

        • I agree, easy rework: turns Titan invisible and they teleport 15 feet when max sprint speed is reached. Balanced.

            Is it annoying? Yes. Does it break the game? No. If you were getting killed all of the time by it fair enough but how often does this situation even come up? In my experience it's pretty rare.

            • They are being looked at and probably on the chopping block. They are stupid fun though.. but truly op af even in pve. And I main them… mainly for the mobility aspect Bungie did state that it will not be for a while though. Like probably with witch queen

                • It's a network issue causing that. If you or the person you're playing against has bad internet, there are a lot more anomalies than just the dunemarchers.

                  • its called chain reaction. it actually is working as intended. now if you get hit by a flying body across the map and die then thats a bug and they are going to change that. but the chaining damage part? That is correct. and if you are undamaged and high resiliance when you get chained you aint gonna die. oh by the way you do realize how that happens right? the titan has to physically run into someone WITHOUT firing his gun. IN FULL SPRINT. its not recommended to do if you want to live. constant hand to hand combat will get you killed constantly. He pays the price for running into people like a fool trust me. it all averages out.

                    • The perk is supposed to chain but it occasionally chains twice to the same person or off of dead bodies - which is a bug. However, it rarely happens, at least in my experience, so I don’t see it as a major issue. If you complain, they’ll probably nerf them and change the perk so it refunds 2% of your melee energy after doing 7 laps of the map.

                    • Also for some reason in PvE it triggers the explosive well maker mod....but chain lightning from trinity doesnt

                    • This has been the case in my experience when Linear Actuators are active PLUS a Powered Melee on an Arc Titan. The effects of Dunemarchers are pretty whack, chain damage being the culprit here. What happens (I'm only guessing) is that when the first contact is initiated, there is a burst of Arc damage on that particular target. Then it chains to the next nearby target. If for a millisecond the original target hasn't been killed, the chain damage goes back to the original and kills it. Then it returns Arc damage to the next nearby target and kills that one. So if there are only two targets, the damage from Dunemarchers is chained back and forth a-la Tesla Coil in C&C. But if there are 3 or 4 targets (in full health and shields), there is usually a double down and two heavily damaged others. Just my observations when I use Arc Titan, but I'm not particularly good at this as my reflexes are crap/ LOL!
