With the announcement of Forsaken setting relegated to the Deprecated Content Vault with the release of WQ, why is it still up for sale?
Most ppl thinking about getting into D2 have no clue what the TWAB is, nor is it common practice for new customers to research the planned obsolescence of the content of a game
Seems pretty shady to charge unaware ppl for an entire expansion that’s being vaulted but hey, that’s just, like, my opinion man
Even the absolute bare minimum of a *Prominent* disclaimer on the various platforms it’s being sold on. Minimum

4 RepliesThe real issue isn’t them selling Forsaken. It’s Bungie pretending like it’s ok to vault paid content instead of doing their job as devs and making the content in a quality state. Their problems with their systems are not the paying customers problems. I see so many people “ well it’s their code “. Ok its THIER job to make the code work as the game expands. “ Oh that would cost too much “ it’s THIER job to keep their product profitable without cutting the customer experience. For some reason the gaming community is ok with excuses. There are always reasons, but as a business you keep the customer experience static and quality even if you have to take financial hits behinds the scenes because YOU FAILED TO FORECAST OR DEVELOP YOUR PRODUCTS PROPERLY.

2 RepliesThe Forsaken story will be free starting December 7th, and for those that want the raid and dungeon content, you get it at a discounted price as well as 3 forsaken exotic ciphers for any 3 Forsaken expansion exotics you want (excluding the raid and dungeon exotics). If you already own Forsaken, you get the exotic ciphers anyways. They need to cut away the less used content for new content people will play, and the compensation for it seems fine to me.

2 RepliesBungie is grimy as hell for not taking that down. I mean how can you sleep at night knowing some random who bought destiny 2 bundle has no idea about this app.. or any news regarding that they plan on vaulting it. Bungie be better
-
6 RepliesYou guys do realize that most likely they are under contract on how long they have to sell it for right? It's not all up to bungie.

2 RepliesEdited by lbobiko: 10/12/2021 4:35:31 PMWhats the point of buing dlc's for this game now? I paid for CoO - they deleted it. I paid for Warmind - its gone too. I paid for Forsaken - they are deleting it. Its not a free to play game ffs so you could just delete our stuff. Its very dangerous precedence in my opinion. We should't be ok with it. I dont know bout you but I am not buing nex dlc. I will just wait on some big sale or maybe even when its free.

2 RepliesEdited by Snafu Gundam: 10/12/2021 2:30:31 PMYou Honestly think they're going to take it down early cuz you say so? Bungie is out to make money. It'll be up for sale till the very last minute. Ever think they're vaulting it because it most likely not selling as well the other 2 expansions?

25 RepliesWhat if someone want it right now? I would imagine for legal reasons it would need to be available for purchase too

1 ReplyBungie is a business. Businesses make money for services or products. They should make as much money as they can off Forsaken before they release for free later this year. Good business practice!!

4 Repliesin all seriousness, this DCV with the tangled shore made me literally cancel WQ, First they've taken 2 different paid DLC with no repercussions and no compensation for literally thousands of dollars/pounds (warmind/curse of osiris) just to take away ANOTHER paid dlc. its like buying a car outright and then being told "were gonna take that back even though you've paid outright and were going to give you something that you have to grind extra for. isn't that sweet?" NO BUNGIE ITS NOT. for reference i paid for the 80 odd pound WQ, Curse of osiris, Warmind, Forsaken, Shadowkeep and Beyond light, i WAS an avid follower of the lores and the gameplay, but this is corporate greed at its finest. regardless of anything some compensation would have been nice apart from some acendant shard and ciphers i can grind for if i want. its not compensation for the years and the money iv put in to this game. From my opinion weve been there from the start, paid the money for it to be where the game is now, why are we being persecuted for liking this game and wanting to keep whats paid for?i should ask for ALL my money back including the GAME i paid for before it went F2P, but hey why would they do that when theres absolute idiots that are going to fall for this same stuff all the time. its an aggressive move against anyone wo has bought AND ENJOYED the previous content. as of writing this my WQ Preorder has been cancelled. why pay for ANOTHER DLC to have it taken away

1 ReplyI agree. It’s pretty shitty for Bungie to keep selling a piece of content that they’ve announced will be obsolete and unusable in a couple of months.
-
36 RepliesPretty shady? No, it is.

3 RepliesBungie woke and so progressive.

10 RepliesThe red war and Forsaken should be optional, free downloads. That way anyone willing to take up the extra space will be able to keep the content they’ve already paid for, and new players get at least one free campaign. The base game completely lacks a campaign at all. Leviathan was my favourite raid, and it’s gone. Last wish is now my favourite raid, and it’s on the chopping block too? All sunsetting does is cause uncertainty and anxiety.

3 RepliesIt is shady, it's scummy, it's anti-consumer and borderline misappropriation of a product. But. The second you accept those terms of service with each yearly expansion, you have zero rights and cannot do anything about it because Bungie can legally do whatever they like with you, your money, and the content you paid for - even if you bought it 30 days before 'vaulting'. Always read the fine print. Bungie's legal team is the only part of the 700 staff who actually work hard on this game.

Bump this up to the top

4 RepliesProbably because it’s still like four months away lol. Ppl have plenty of time to play it before it’s gone, plus not all of its leaving. It amazes me what ppl will whine about these days, why do you even care what other ppl spend money on smh. If they’re not smart enough to research a game before they buy it then it’s their own fault.
-
10 RepliesScummy, nothing new for Bungie, they have surpassed Activision and EA. Hope they are proud.

Edited by Chookity-pok__: 10/12/2021 10:50:07 AMI initially read the title as 'Stop selling foresk... '. That is all.

2 RepliesThe moment they announced it was being vaulted it the story elements should've been added to the game for free. Here's the rub, they've already gotten away with vaulting content, what's more they did it and still sold the new content at a premium price, there's no point crying over spilt milk.

I played D1 and guess what? I can play all the raids I've paid for that's been made for that game. I go play D2 and I couldn't find the Calus raid anymore, let alone play it right now. I think I paid for it too. Together with the others that have gone missing as of late. I know D1 servers could be taken out of commission anytime they want to. But hey, I can still play most things I've paid for on that game. Go figure.

1 ReplyMan.... its bungie like what do you expect ? Dont waste your energy on writing these posts bc they will keep acting like scumbags no matter what the community says, they being ignoring everthing we say for years dont except it to ever change at this point

The whole removal system need to go player need to get behind this like they did with sunsetting. It's a terrible practice
