The player pool is only 340,000. It will be interesting to see if people start playing on Sunday when the flawless pool is active. Basically, the casuals have left already.

Not all of them have left based of the teammates I get lol

Yes the majority have not played this weekend. It has consistently dropped from around 750,000 a couple of weeks ago.

It always does. I'd be surprised if it dips below 500000 players. I wouldn't mind having Friday to run and Saturday flawless is active. Most good teams will still continue to win games with flawless active anyway.
Basically, the casuals have left already.
That's what happens when Bungie tweaks things to make less skilled players be just cannon fodder for higher skilled players. They just give up and leave. But hey, from what I've been reading around here that's exactly what the high skilled players want, the casuals out of Trials. They should be celebrating by now. They can swim in sweaty matches and be happy forever in their elitist little corner of Destiny PvP.

the numbers will just continue to drop as the bottom of the barrel keeps disappearing and the level of players getting dumping on catches up with players slightly higher up the food chain. then it'll be back to 90k players like it was before.

I'm not sure where I stand on this issue but to be fair I think your numbers are off. It actually doesn't make sense for anyone to play on Friday and Saturday when Sunday and Monday are so much easier. I would wait and see if there is a spike tomorrow.
