I’ve seen a lot more players recently who are clearly using modded controllers or using MnK on console (with AA).
Almost every time I play these guys, I look them up and they normally were mediocre players whose stats suddenly skyrocketed one season.
Other games like Fortnite have already patched this. Will anything ever be done about this?
EDIT: I can only imagine the people downvoting this are users lol.

Yes, they do.

6 RepliesAbsolutely. I'm not so bothered by the controllers with the extra buttons and paddles etc. Most normal players have the same digits on each hand, so I can't see an advantage there. I believe the OP refers to the gismos that attach ONTO controllers. These evil little toys can create cheats just as effective as was seen on PC. Rapid fire weapons, auto aim, wall hacking, the list is endless. I even saw footage where someone was actually playing afk (well, afc) and his character was following the direction of the enemy and getting headshots when in view. The player wasn't even holding his/her controller! It's possible to set up whatever cheat you want, for any game, and set how effective you want the cheats to operate. These should be banned from sale immediately, as they are not detectable by regular in game anti cheat systems.

Edited by JazzyPaladin477: 10/13/2021 4:02:59 AMYa saw it myself for the first time today. I had a guy one shot, he was running away and I was charging my fission to finish him off. He jumped, snapped a 180 degree turn and sniped me in the face quick was a wink. He then came over and stood over me an wagged his gun back and forth as if to say “no,no,no!”. It wasn’t the sus snipe that was the dead give away, it was how fast he wagged the gun back and forth afterwards. You could tell he was flicking his mouse back and forth, no way you could pan that fast with controller sticks even at max sensitivity, i tried. He was 100% without a doubt m&k.

Edited by despicable-stev: 10/11/2021 3:18:32 PMIt’s an accessibility issue those things are meant to help players with Disabilities And it’s Abused. Kinda like Shatter dive

thank you someone is finally saying something about Chronus Zen and Xim users. It's clearly a hardware cheat but how will Bungie detect them other than ban controllers all together. I have watched some of the videos of players using them and it is incredible how they can provide a major advantage.

If you don't like it take it up with the console manufacturers for allowing it. Mircosoft is just going laugh at you cuz, accessibility Control option are a Big Selling point of thiers. Sony will just ignore you.

5 RepliesI have to admit I got mad at a friends brother who I introduced destiny to. And I found he is using this device that shall remain nameless just because bungies rules and regulations sometimes over step their boundaries and ban you or warn you. Anyways he has this USB and this device where he can use mouse and keyboard on his ps5 and aim assist. I had to unfriend him and just not link up because I didnt want to have any sort of connection to cheats whatsoever. And hes been having this device since escalation protocol and still works, he hasnt gotten banned. He has a fake account that he use to get ppl to trials and hes making money off it. If this dude has survived this long. Theres literally no hope in what your asking. I seriously doubt itll ever happen, plus if players are leaving destiny left and right, while game isnt dead, but if players leaving I dont think they wanna ban or remove anyone, otherwise we will be left with only few ppl and sweats will only play sweats lol.

10 Repliesmodded controllers have little no influence on a game like destiny.
-
The issue is the technology to allow this, AFAIK, is meant for disabled people who physically can’t use regular input methods. It would be fairly lame to start banning legitimate users because some low lifes want an advantage in a video game.
-
Show me the data the modded controllers actually make you a better player or shut up. They dont if saying it gives you more AA lol destiny 2 has the highest AA in any fps. hell i get aimbot from their AA
-
Pics or it didn't happen.
-
The only issue with people being on m and k on console is if they get AA go play a pc lobby on console is not disproportionately more awful than a console lobby
-
2 RepliesHere's the problem. Those devices simulate controller inputs AND they simulate just being a normal controller, so they appear as just a regular controller to your console or PC. They're literally undetectable. Nothing can be done, nothing will be done. Also, the only unfair advantage you'll find in high-end PVP is Mouse and Keyboard. I doubt anyone uses Cronus mods in high end PVP, if you research what it's capable of and how it actually works you'll realize all it does is execute macro button presses. It can't do anything a normal controller can't do, it can't aim for you and it can't do "cheats" ...
-
Mnk is a problem. modded controllers however, I don’t see how they are able to do anything to manipulate gun ttk. The only things a modded controller can do are what players are already capable of, but with less effort. Drop shot, “rapid fire” (with a restriction) auto switch, etc.

2 RepliesI hate to break it you most elite players on console use xim to m and k input. whole clans exist solely using this input in fact you can't join some of these unless u use m an k. notice these six stacks of clans that seem to move at insane speeds and can lock onto you in the air and seem to never miss. this is m an k on console. and has been going on since D1.

18 RepliesYou talking about elite control users?

2 RepliesPeople who uses those gadgets just to take advantage of other players are the real sore loosers. They would be lying to themselves and have no integritty withe themselves and they lack preserverance to improve their skill without using any cheats. They are fakers, not a real players with honesty and true clean preserverance. They are full of greed and like to make themself look like pro but they are not. Something they can't really be proud without a sliver of guilt of knowing that they use the cheating devices deep down inside their mind.

1 ReplyLag and network manipulation has been top problem on console for years. I knew people who used it back in y1 ffs. Now it's more of a mix between crossplay lag, last gen v next gen and who knows what. Even worse than before on PS4 at least.
-
The silence from Bungie outrageous!
-
Isn't there people with disabilities who need these to play the game normally?
-
1 ReplyI can see their response now: "And for this reason, we've disabled Telesto in PvP."
-
1 Replywhere can i find this modded controller!!!

4 RepliesEdited by saturday tasogare: 10/11/2021 10:42:46 PMPeople accuse me of this all the time. This weekend was especially obvious, as I was doing double carries in the non-flawless pool. My stats went up this season not because of a gadget but because of actual skill acquisition. Look at my overall, then at each individual season. it got better every season. Last season I was a 1.3, but by the end I was playing with 1.5s and holding my own. This season, it was the combination of matchmaking changes and my gradual skill acquisition that made my kd skyrocket, not a modded controller. edit: by obvious I mean that people accused me a lot, not that I cheat LOL

In all honesty, you would still lose

1 ReplyScuff, elite, and tournament controllers are fine. Trust me, there’s a learning curve. These other plug ins though need to be dealt with. Thankfully I only saw them regularly in IB and the past few weeks of Trials.

good luck mate, they can’t even figure out where to put their own game inside their game. -blam!- me, i can’t believe that statement even holds value.
