From my experience, I’d still say it’s better than it was before, but they kinda messed it up from week 1. Like I get what they’re trying to do with having a flawless pool in general but it’s creating a situation now where a lot of the player base is choosing not to play on purpose until Sunday when it’s active. Which is understandable for them, but the thing with week 1 and not having a flawless pool made it so literally the entire player base would be playing at all times throughout the entire weekend. Therefor making it easier for everyone to have an equal chance at going flawless. I still believe this is the better move for the overall health of the mode because even if the more casual players are forced to occasionally deal with sweats, they’re still far more likely to at least eventually have that one card where they don’t match any sweats. I think just having everything be random is better than what we have now

  • Week one was a huge draw for people because they could access loot they previously did not bother to jump through hoops to get. A big player pools is great for everybody, but that won’t last. Once the more casual or lower skill players get their loot, they won’t stick around to get beat up by the hardcore crowd. Bungie can either make playing trials more fun for the bottom half or they need to constantly produce high-end desirable loot that bribes people to weather a -blam!- gameplay experience. Or we’ll be back to a low player count sweat/cheat fest trials was before.

  • Yeah I guess you’ve got a point.
