So I recently got back into Destiny, and let me say that I do love the game, but had not bought the Beyond Light expansion when it was first released. When I got back into it about a month ago, I noticed that in the director screen it shows you a timeline of all past expansions and which one you have yet to purchase. It's here that I saw the Beyond Light expansion was on sale from like $39.99 down to $29.99, I could be wrong, I can't recall the exact price. Anyway, I figured what the hell, it's on sale and I wanna get the most out of the game, so I pulled the trigger. Cut to a couple weeks ago and I noticed that the Deluxe edition of the expansion, that is NOT on sale and comes with like 2 past seasons as well as the exotic quests for the Hawkmoon and such, and it's only $19.99!!! Why is it that the deluxe edition is, by default, cheaper than the regular edition of the expansion? This makes absolutely no sense, considering that on the Destiny timeline in the director screen, it ONLY shows the regular edition, at full price now, and not the deluxe version. Why does the regular version of it even exist now that the deluxe edition gives you more bang for your buck? Again, I love the game and have been enjoying the new expansion, but I can't help but feel cheated.
