The community hates one of the 2 strikes that came with forsaken and the one we like isn’t being removed, I doubt anyone has played the campaign since it’s release because if you have you’d know everything from it is sunset or so off meta it’s not even worth your time. Last it’s a patrol location, when was the last time you weren’t going to spider and actually just went to the tangled shore, I get not wanting to pay for removing content, but I’d rather not pay for less.
With 100$ you’re getting a dungeon in December, a raid in February, with another raid/dungeon coming each 3 months as stated by bungie in recent twabs. If I have to give up a strike and patrol location for that I’m 100% fine with it

1 ReplyI started seeing the complaints about this yesterday. It totally -blam!- cracked me up. Dejavu anyone?
-
1 ReplyNah, your post is stupid.

3 RepliesI agree.. the tangled shore is whack - dreaming city is the best part and that is staying.. In fact, they can bin off nessus as well while they're at it!
-
Edited by Fa11enFenex: 10/9/2021 4:34:02 PMAmen homie, tangled shore has literally nothing to offer. And if you haven't finished Forsaken yet you can -blam!- about it being sunset, shits been out for a looong time. Old crap out, new crap in. Don't mind renting areas and getting new stuff in.

People be like: “this dlc and patrol location that I haven’t touched in 2 years needs to stay! Also these activities that I only play for the pinnacle at this point is going to? Why?” If anything I’m glad it’s gone because glimmer and materials should be in the tower (THANK THE LORD) and hollowed lair should burn in the deepest pits :)

4 RepliesYou are wrong. Forsaken is the 2nd - maybe even 1st - best dlc still in the game. They need to stop removing content. I don’t care about the weapons and gear I’ll get from it, I just want to play a fun game with a variety of things to do. I still wish Cayde wasn’t dead, so I have lots of fun in the tribute to him.

8 RepliesHere is what you don't get. People paid for this content. Good hard earned money. Regardless if we play the content or not. Regardless if the weapons or armor is meta or not. I personally like when the strike pops up, sure as hell beats the Dreaming City strike which like 60% of people bail on. Someone used a car reference. It is exactly like buying a car. And a year later they show up and yank out the stereo even thou you paid for a car with a stereo. Then there is the story. Forsaken story leads into the content/story for this current season (season 15). Forsaken has all the reasons for Mara to dislike guardians. The reason we put a bullet in Uldren head. And that in turns leads into the story for Witch Queen. For those of us that have bought every DLC we are now out about $100 or so for content we PAID for. All because Bungie is to lazy to figure out how to make the old work with the new. It would be one thing if they offered a discount for those of us that paid that money towards new content but they don't even do that. And to offer up shards as some kind of reward is BS. Most of us are max'ed out on those so will receive absolutely nothing. I was on the fence about supporting Bungie and buying Witch Queen. But I'm done. I'll wait until it is free. That way when/if it gets vaulted I won't be out a single cent. That old saying fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. Won't be fooled a third time. And honestly I think someone should maybe start up a class-action lawsuit to refund those of us who have paid for a product that is being taken away.

I agree imagine how insanly huge the game would be if it had every single dcl, seasson etc in it. It would easy get arround 200-300 gb huge. I am pkay with vaulting content. And we get new content verry soon, inbetween i can enjoy other games! Like a bormal thinking person does! And not evrrybody has the internet to sinmply download the old «meaningless» content. I am still excited for witch queen. And will buy it.

1 ReplyForsaken came with 4 strikes not 2

Edited by Rhetoricull: 10/8/2021 11:19:59 PMAgreed, I payed my 40 dollars long ago for the dlc and I’m satisfied. I’m not gonna cry when games I payed for long ago stop the server support. It’s stupid af. Not gonna cry when Xbox 360 serves turn off even though I payed for it. Stupid as -blam!-. The good stuff is still staying too I don’t honestly understand what there is to be mad about. So glad we get rid of these empty destinations. Been a year since everything was vaulted and the only things I miss are the exotic weapon missions and strikes. But not enough to whine

1 ReplyEdited by TheShadow: 10/8/2021 12:59:01 AM
Complaining about forsaken being removed is stupid
Actually, it's not, and opinions will vary.
This only makes it easier for Bungie to reuse D1 content or content we already played but called "new" for the sake of the new light players. Yes, we are getting some new content but most of it is not quality content and will be short-lived. Big whoopty doo, another dungeon as if that is something "new to the game". It seems what quality content is in this game is being removed to be replaced with mediocre content. How is that a benefit to the player base that has been playing this game since day 1?
IMO what should be taking place is switching things up. Stop bringing D1 content into this game and split that time creating these seasons creating new content that isn't removed every few months. More open-world activities like EP, Alter of Sorrow. More public events like the Gate lord More activities like Menagerie, etc. This game needs (creativity), things that keep the game flowing and update them as time moves on.

I've played the Foresaken campaign on all 3 main characters and also on my alt Xbox account. I've jus started it on my alt 3rd before the TWAB dropped. Am I annoyed about it being removed? Nope. Loads of time to enjoy it before Witch Queen. I don't get this assumption that "nobody plays campaign" ppl make. It's arrogant & wrong.
-
2 RepliesHow many people that are complaining about losing content they “paid for” actually didn’t pay for -blam!- and got it through gamepass, pretty sure forsaken is included with gamepass for free…
-
We can't play the Forsaken campaign because there is no option to replay story content.
-
Agreed, vault Corrupted.
-
Couldn’t care less about content that hasn’t been worth it in 3 years, plus one of the worst strikes leaving. I only go to the tangled shore to see spider and when empty tank is the lost sector. That’s it. I’m not gonna miss anything there. There’s no reprised weapons or gear on the shore to grind, no worthwhile activities. Nothing.

4 RepliesEdited by Wayne712: 10/8/2021 9:20:43 AMIt’s perfectly valid to complain about the DCV. It’s content that people paid for that they no longer have access to. It’s in the region of $140-200 that many players will have spent to purchase content that will no longer exist in the game. This is all to make it easier for Bungie to prolong the life of D2 so they can minimize investment in product development and therefore maximize profit. This is not for the player benefit in any way. Personally, I’m long past caring about any of the content being removed. It doesn’t bother me to not play this stuff again (except when it comes to PvP maps). However, for anyone it does bother, it is a legitimate complaint and it shouldn’t be dismissed out of hand.
-
Its 100% something people can complain about. And it’s a dumb idea from bungie. I can go back and play literally everything in d1. I can’t start a new character and get the entire story destiny. Now if someone starts playing destiny 2. They already won’t be able to play the main storyline (or anything from year one for that matter) so they jump in without even the option to get the story. Now they are taking out another huge story plot? So now new players have literally no chance of knowing wtf is going on. It’s stupid. And this is all because bungie couldn’t be bothered to make destiny 3 like they should have. Instead they are going to push out dlcs that cost the same as a brand new title. Its a cost savings thing. They can give whatever excuse they want but it’s BS. This way they get the same money from consumers as if they bought a new game but they don’t have to do half the work.
-
People also had four years to play on The Tangled Shore.
-
2 RepliesComplaining about complaining about forsaken being removed is stupid too.
-
We still get most of the forsaken content afterwards like Last wish and all that. The main stuff that's being removed is the campaign and tangled shore
-
I loved Forsaken and it was the very best of D2 to date. With that said everyone knew it would be vaulted at one point. As long as the game continues to improve and put out high quality content, I’m fine with the vaulting of old stuff. There’s no possible way for them to keep and manage content that’s several years old. It was either them ending D2 and all of us starting over with D3 or vaulting. I prefer to see the game evolve, keep my loot and move forward to new content.
-
Lmao they are renting us content. Don’t be a -blam!- for bungie
