D1 was a solid game. Crap for story until TTK but a fun game. And pure: the only micro transactions were those armor pieces. Sure you still had season passes and expansions but that’s separate thing all together. Now? The micro transactions are sooooo baked into this thing. Spending fake currency do you don’t even realize that armor set you want is $15 or whatever. W. T. F. I do think they continued with a decent story. As much as I hate the cabal, I think the Res Legion story was great. I still love that sad cello music as you’re wandering lightless and injured. And watching the vanguard deal with the loss in their own ways. But D1 was by far a better game and experience. It lacked polish and some quality of life stuff we have now. But a better game in the end.

I’ve played d1 and d2. Both are good however I have over 1.6k hours in destiny 2 and I’m still not bored so it’s not just new lights it’s players like me aswell that are still enjoying the game to this day.

Take those rose tinted glasses off mate, D1 was the definition of reused content and repetitive gameplay etc.

I didn't enjoy d1 at all compared to how I've enjoyed d2.

D1 isn’t that good why do people keep saying it’s better.
