56 looted clears for Vex… soooo, finally?
I guess the silver lining is that most recent weeks, A LOT of posts were about vex not dropping for people doing VOG since week 1…
The last couple of weeks? Far less… including myself…
Mine dropped at lucky 56…
So less than 60 is the max? Possibly?
I’m still pissed it took this long but hang in there guardians? I guess?

2 RepliesNow take it into PvP and be non-toxic with the automatic headshot button that lets people think they are hitting headshots when its just the game doing it. I wonder what they are going to replace the feeling of a 99% headshot rate with when its time?

I got mine at 23 and I thought that was to long. Couldn’t imagine having to play VOG that many times

Got mine the other night on my 9th clear. Got eyes of tomorrow on my first deep stone. I feel the frustration for the guys on 50+ clears having to hear guys on such low completions celebrate being rewarded the weapons they've been so hopelessly chasing since the raids dropped.

35 RepliesWho cares if it took that long? Did it take up massive amounts of your time? If so thats on you, you could have easily spend 90 minutes running atheon 3 times (that’s including mess ups if you get it first try 3 times it takes maybe 30-50 minutes) a week. You made the decision to go for this item dont be upset it took you alot of time to get this exotic as its been this way since D1s launch with the rare inclusion of Raid Exotic Quests.

I got it on my 70th clear i wanted it on my 69th but bungie didn't want me to have it then so they gave it to me next clear

I expect it's not guaranteed at 60 clears. For example, I got EoT after 67 clears.

Also not farming for the new exotic catalyst, running potentially 30+ runs of a boring event, for a weapon I'll probably vault sooner rather than later... I'll pass. If they drop at some stage, great, if not, meh.

It’s pretty crazy how unrewarding VOG actually is. I’ve only completed 12 or 13 runs without getting Vex, I can only imagine doing 50+ without getting it. Especially how much it shreds in PvP. I maintain VOG should have some way to guarantee after X amount of runs. Or trading in x amount of Fatebringers/Corrective Measure/or whatever raid drop to get a Vex. Anyways, congrats on the persistence and obtaining the reward!!!

3 RepliesSorry man, I just ran atheon once or twice a week as I saw having the Vex as a necessity for grandmasters this season. Got it on my latest run with a few dudes in my fire team still not getting it after they’ve had 3x completions most weeks since it came out. I have maybe 5 clears.. Not fair I know. I was really passive this last time, not expecting to see it and there it was.

There is no max and seemingly no good reason to assume that there is any drop protection. You just got lucky.
