Just loaded in with my team and 1 got kicked mid load. Super happy that anti cheat does work but does anyone know if it can pick up DDOS attacks???
EDIT: My teammate was completely disconnected. It took him 30 minutes to get back online unfortunately. He was disconnected from steam, discord and game

If you can’t get back online for 30-60 minutes, you MIGHT be getting DDoSed. The reality is it’s highly unlikely, and probably just an inconsistency with your router/ISP (or more likely, bungie’s “servers”). DDoS is a serious thing and offence, it takes a large botnet of bogus internet traffic to coordinate one. People with that power are probably not roaming around in MM going “hey SCREW you in-particular”

3 RepliesD2 has a system used to specifically block Ddoss attacks on both PC and console.

We had the same today- our best player was completely shut down. I have never been sure about a ddos before but this was so obvious - right after we won the first two rounds. I cannot tell you how happy I was that my son (the other player) and I managed to clutch a 5-4. I sniped someone out of their super at the start of the final round as they pushed. Cheating scumbags.

If it was actually a DDOS your entire internet would shut down

9 RepliesI think I did. 1 teammate got disconnected and then I did. Ran an internet speed test immediately after and everything was fine. 1 gig download and 35mbps upload. So it definitely wasn't my connection.

Did your network go down or did you just get kicked, because one is a Ddos and the other is you probably have a bad connection or were kicked for being considered a cheat somehow, perhaps.

2 RepliesIt can’t really, that a reporting thing. Get a VPN and try to blacklist yourself from things like Xresolver.

Sad that people will comitt federal crimes to win in a video game
-
Yeah there’s a guy imma report him directly.. he DDOSed and lost 😂

4 RepliesDidn’t servers get moved over to steam to prevent this kind of thing?
