Unable to progress in quest Darkness's Doorstep

I have no way to progress in this mandatory quest as my warlock is only at level 832 and the requirement is 1100....help...

A RANDOM GENT

Did you transfer a heavy weapon to the character prior to the heavy slot being unlocked as part of the new light quests? If so that will lower you power level and make enemies immune.

You can't be 832 and your warlock is above 1100
