Help my boi Xol, Whisper of the worm.
Xol has been left in the players vault for too long, the encounters have changed leaving him behind, its been so long since I've seen Whisper used unironically,
buff Whisper to some extent to make it useful after all its a Heavy sniper.

Hmm… I think it’s just a meta problem, With the seasonal mods to empower certain gun types. Hope we’ll see a sniper meta again next season. (But it’ll probably be rockets with ghorn and all)

I found quite ironical that Bungie continues to add ornaments to that weapon when it’s become absolute dog poop.

Edited by MrRampage11410: 9/22/2021 11:40:31 AMYes, this weapon needs a buff, it got nerfed in so many different way it didn't just fall out of meta play, it just fell off the players choice. The white nail perk is incredibly good in a skilled hand that should be rewarded not nerfed so that its barely functional as an exotic. Removing armour piercing rounds also hindered it greatly. Its like a terrible black spindle that takes up your exotic slot.

I’d really like to see it have its old infinite ammo back. Even if that means cutting it’s ammo capacity down to 5-6 rounds total. After that I’d just give its crit damage a slight bump. Maybe we’ll get a sniper focused mod that’ll make it and Darci usable again. Oh who am I kidding DPS phases are always blitzes and Cloudstrike blows both those out of the water at that.

I agree, but they also need to bring back the mission, so that players can actually complete teh catalyst and experience one of the greatest pieces of content destiny has ever had. A reprised whisper mission would be so awesome, with maybe new encounters enemy setup and even new additional rewards.

3 RepliesMuch how they're making a pass at primary exotics, I think Bungie needs to do a full pass and overhaul of Year 1 exotics period. Armor included as there's just some underwhelming stuff. Like I mean of the Y1 exotics only half of them are fine and of that half, like a quarter are actually potent and viable consistently.

We need a PvE sniper buff ,we keep getting new snipers but no reason to use them -
1 ReplySo many people ask for them to move to the special slot but i enjoy having the heavy weapon classes, two snipes a shotty and a fusion. Whisper darci and acrius just need a bit more damage on them to make them viable. Whisper maybe more damage and or bring back infinite rounds (and lower reserves in that case) darci needs to get an absolutely absurd damage boost when it has the target aquired thing, or maybe put on a damage debuff or sum for everyone. Acrius needs more damage. I was getting outpreformed by a linear fusion the other day both of us hitting crits.

Whisper should be changed. Simply revert it’s perk to regular, lower maybe the reserves(slightly), and include kills as precision hits. This would make it focus both heavy majors and rank and file verses boss damage which I don’t think should be it’s main function since we have LFRs.

Options; 1. Bring back infinite ammo, as it’s damage isn’t high enough to justify the nerf anymore. 2. Move it to the special slot. 3. Increase damage by roughly 50-100%.

It does need some help. Ammo reserves are definitely a problem.

It was a cool strike, the only nf to have very unique reward in a transmit effect which is super cool and I used up until murder of crows was released which is just a little cooler 😎

Three precision hits will refill the magazine to full with ghost ammo. Missing a shot let’s out a laugh from zol, dps is now over for you xD Increased damage so it’s relevant

It was my favorite weapon for a long time, Mr. Calus got a migraine with it every weekend with the clan I was kicked out of after getting the thousand voices on my first run and the leader didn't take it very well, with 60% more damage it could be a weapon that will again be among the top choices.

Edited by PROCK7: 9/22/2021 11:46:27 AMYeah. I was never good with snipers but I used it for boss dps in raids. I bought the ornament yesterday and to me it makes the weapon look even better. Made me slightly sad seeing how pretty it was then sent it to the vault.
